Soft volume at start up?

Does the MME sound system volume have a soft volume at start up or does it hold the last volume setting when the car was shut down?
My 17 year old daughter borrows my car on occasion and loves cranking the tunes and doesnt turn down the volume before shutting the car off. Having the car fix the problem is easier than fixing my daughter.

It’s the same as when the car was turned off. Maybe that feature will come with an update, cause it’s kind of annoying.

You could program a MyKey for her to stop her from blasting the music.

I like to crank my music to at least 20. Upon startup I think it goes back to 17 though as the startup Max.

Actually the volume goes back to 18 upon startup. I also regularly listen to music quite loud (I'm a rock concert fanatic) and my volume is usually between 15 and 25 but it always goes back to 18 upon start up if it is louder than that setting.

I wonder if one of the OBD2 program/apps can make that adjustment? Having a preset volume setting on start up.

Like @generaltso mentioned, I would suggest a MyKey setup. I'd definitely have one if I had a teenager driving this car.

It looks like MyKey setup can limit max volume to 45% of max, but not the start up volume. I don’t know what decibel level 45% equates to on the MME scale, but I do know that there are times when jamming out at max volume is appropriate and enjoyable even for a 17 year old that doesn’t own the car. I just don’t want to hear even 45% of max at start up.

I think this the ability to customize everything is the next evolution in automobiles. Based on what people are becoming used to with personal assistants (i.e. Alexa) and home automations, skills, etc ., it’s reasonable to expect our cars to do the same.

There is certainly no reason you shouldn’t be able to program your car to automatically tune to the traffic station on weekday morning commutes and then play a specific song on Saturday mornings.

If the car can detect rain on the windshield, you should be able to program it to roll up the windows if it starts raining.

Tesla already has a pet mode that will keep the temperature set to a comfortable level so you can leave the dog in the car.

Since ford has already begun integrating Alexa, they should go all the way: “Alexa, set the volume to 5 on startup.” “Alexa, when the car stops, remind me to get the dog out of the frunk.”

It’s the same as when the car was turned off.

Mine is not the same as when I turned it off, it's much louder. Kinda pissy that it can't be set to a lower starting volume like Chevy has.
