Have been greeted with this notification twice in the last couple of days. Shows up when I try to start the car. Car starts fine and the screen opens after progress bar finishes. Anyone know what it means?

This also happened to me twice, a couple days ago. It has only happened a handful of other times in my 2.5 years of ownership. I drive my car 20-30 miles daily (normally commuter-type trips) so if this really relates to the 12v that's a problem. More likely, another software gremlin.

Low 12V battery. Have you got any kind of warning messages in the past few days including 12V battery, charging fault, low tire pressure, or had a recent OTA install?

Low 12 volt battery. Drive the vehicle more often/longer periods of time to allow the 12v to charge.
I got this this morning. My car had been recently driven, so I know it wasn't a low 12V battery. Turns out that the car had attempted to update to 6.4.0 this morning and failed.

Yes 6.1.0 on 10/16. No other warnings .. Do OTA Installs tax the 12 v battery if the car is plugged in?

Also, just got a call from my dealer, They are sending a tech to my home tomorrow to do some sort of update which they say may be related….Wierd…

I plug the car in each night. Charge to 80%. Doesn’t this also charge the 12 v battery?

Yes, OTAs do tax the 12V battery. If the car has not been driven or charged for at least 30 continuous minutes after an OTA, the 12V battery may remain low afterwards.

Plugging in does not keep the 12V topped up if no charging is occurring. You must be actively charging the HVB or driving to charge up the 12V battery. As soon as charging finishes, everything goes to sleep so no further progress on the 12V is made.

I get this all the time; are we 100% it is related to 12-volt battery? I did for the first time get warning about the 12-volt battery when I was away for few days from my car. I have plugged in everyday this week and still get the notices. I don't normally drive more than 12 miles a day.

Only while the HVB is actively charging.
Not true - so long as HV battery is over 15% charged, HV system will still charge LV battery when HV charge lead is unplugged and 12V charge is at a level low enough for the system to turn on LV battery charging.

That transfer of energy is to keep the LVB from completely dying, but I wouldn’t consider that to be regular charging like it does when the HVB is being charged or when the car is in Ready mode. If it’s doing that all the time, the LVB won’t live very long.

Yes, "System off to save battery" is caused by low 12V battery. 12 mi/day is pretty short and likely not enough on time to keep it at a high SoC.

Do you have anything plugged in that might be draining the LVB, like an OBD plug that keeps the system awake, or a dash cam hardwired to an always on fuse?

Just thinking of other things off the top of my head.
