First post...and I'm already failing on searching to see if this has been posted already. Really...I tried.

Just received a ChargePoint Home Flex Charger this week, and plan on getting it installed by an electrician in a couple of weeks. All in prep for my incoming Mach-E. I hope I didn't just jinx it. C'MON PRODUCTION! <prayers>

So, a general question that I want ask some seasoned owners that L2 home charge:

1) How much do you drive a day/week? (I'm expecting to drive roughly 100mi commuting a week, and maybe another 50 mi on the weekend...errands and golf)
2) How often do you charge?

Just trying to get an idea of what everyone is doing, along with compiling battery life recommendations.

As always, I get it..."Your mileage will vary". Kinda like how I never got close to my estimated EPA combined mileage the first month I got my V8 car...

I have the same charger. Really like it.

I am self-employed and use this as my "work" truck. We typically go out on appointments every other day - anywhere from 75 to 200 miles. The off days are just around town. I usually charge mine every other evening (usually the evenings that I go out on appointments so it is ready to go the next day). I only charge to 90%.

So, short answer, when it drops below 50% I usually hook it up that evening. If I've just run errands and it is at 75% or whatever, I usually don't charge unless I know I have a big day the next day.
Enjoy.

I don’t drive all that much. Most weeks, between work and running kids to school functions and jobs I’ll log about 150 miles. I’m allowed to plug in to level 1 (an outdoor 110 outlet) at work where I do two 24 hours shifts per week. I have that set as a charge location to stop at 90%. On my days off I may get down around 40% battery. But after two days at work I’m back up to 90%. So that pretty much keeps me at a net balance of 150 miles added versus 150 miles driven.
TLDR:
1: 150 miles
2: anytime I’m at work AKA 48 hours / week.

I've had a BEV for 6 years. Used to plug in every night to 70% or so as that's what the car company said to do. Moved to a spot where it's not as convenient to do so, and now I drive less, so I usually plug in on Sat night when rates are cheap and charge from about 20% to 85% which gives me enough charge for the week. Seems to be working well. My current EV has about 200 mile range although it claims 240

8400 miles in 9 months. Usually charge once a week unless we take a trip to SeaWorld or some such, Then we charge Friday night and Sunday night when we get back. We usually discuss who is going farther the next day and that is who drives the Mustang. We put fuel in our Explorer about every other month now if not longer.

Your location is a bit too cryptic to discern the climate. If it gets cold where you are I would recommend plugging in every night and preconditioning before you leave.

Haha...yeah...sorry.

"Good Land" in some indigenous languages translates to "Milwaukee". BUCKS IN 6! Sorry...had to.

The good news is that I am garage storing the car, so at least I can pre-heat the car in the wintertime with or without the plug. Will still want to plug it in I'm guessing.

Ok I have to ask. What do you do for work? I’ve never heard of a 48 hour straight shift per week. That sounds brutal and awesome at the same time

Yeah...I Imagine that Murse-in-Airy has been busy the last 1.5ish years.

1 - I drive 50-75 miles a day (400ish a week)(15k-20k a year)
2 - I charge daily to 90% - L2 at home with the same charger you have

The reason I charge to 90% every day (and to 100% every day in my previous EV) is because while at work I could get a call at any time redirecting me to a datacenter or customer equipment up to 250 miles away. I need to always be prepared to get there ASAP.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Sorry if this has been asked before: "How Many Miles a Day Do You Drive, and How Often Do You Charge" DE933D6F-6814-4362-BEDE-0DB3232113B2

My work ride. I do two 24 hour shifts per week with a day off in between. Then 5 days off and start over. Good work if you can get it. But I have been VERY busy lately.

That is by far the best work vehicle I can think of. Awesome. Also, I can guess why you’re busy and that makes me sad. I don’t envy you being on the front lines like that
