Is it possible to reboot the screen in front of the steering wheel (dashboard screen)? I got in my car the other day and was driving down the freeway when I realized the speedometer wasn't there. Turning the car off and back on resolved the issues but I was curious if something like that existed as it does for the main screen. I am really good at rebooting that one.

Interestingly enough I did use the carscanner app and was able to get my speed so likely just the computer that controls that screen was frozen. The photo from below is Unbridled but as you can tell its not, switching between the modes didn't resolve it either. The drive mode would change but the display did not. The battery % also went down as a drove.

hold the down button and the fast forward button on the right hand side of the steering wheel controls

Just the Sync screen reboot, which may resolve the IPC issue. Not many reports of the IPC having issues or freezing, etc. and needing a reboot while driving, so hopefully this isn't a common occurrence for you and you won't have to pull over and restart to get it sorted!

I should mention I did try a sync reboot. Overall not a big deal because rebooting (turning off\on) resolved it and so far it has only happened once in my 13 weeks of ownership. More curious if there is another steering wheel reboot type thing for that screen to save me from pulling over and rebooting and hopefully help someone else in the future.

That's a new one. 2022's haven't had an IPC update yet. Any codes? If it happens more you might need a new IPC.

Having the MPH disappear is a safety issue and will prompt a recall if NTSB catches wind of it. Tesla had a recall last year for the same issue. I am sure it can be an OTA, but still a "recall".

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Mach-E screen concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

Want to clarify this one. It didn't disappear, it never showed up when I started the car.

Sounds like I am special being the only one to experience this, also sounds like there is no way to reboot that screen

I just had this happen to me yesterday for the first time. If it happens again, I’ll try the steering wheel reset method while in motion.

I've never had that happen, but once (in a year and two months of ownership), I had driven to Costco, all was well. Came out, started the car, and the speedometer was VERY lagged...like every five to ten seconds it would update the speed. I stopped, shut down, waited about 15 minutes and still had the same problem.

Frustrated, I drove home just hoping to match traffic and not get a ticket, parked, and the next day, it was like it had never happened. Hasn't happened since. I think sometimes there's just a software bug that gets between the IPC and the hardware systems that feed it.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Speed (MPH) Missing - Reboot Dashboard Screen? MachECluster

My wife had this happen today to her as well. she didn't think to reboot so drove the 10 minutes without a speedometer. 2022 Rt1, first time I'm aware we've had this in almost 19,000 km's.

I've had it happen to my 2021 twice. Both froze with the speedometer on while driving. I looked down at the end of the freeway ramp and it was frozen on 71mph. Never happened with my 2022.
