Squirrel took a bite out of my charger cable

I travelled to my friends house in Signal Mountain, Tennessee on my way to Florida from Michigan. I left the charger plugged in for 36 hours on 120v and think that is when the squirrel bit my cable. No squirrel pictures but do have some teeth marks on the cable!

Fortunately no bare wires so I taped it up. I successfully charged last night with it before the repair.

I had a friend who lived in Germany and had a carport. At some point he started having squirrel problems, they would nestle in his car engine compartment and gnaw at the hoses. The only practical solution he found was to take a leak on his car hoses daily, it kept the squirrels away

Another solution would be to connect a live 220v cable to let them munch on..... Even spread some peanut butter on it! Might leave an unpleasant smell though...
