Took both Mustangs to a Cars & Coffee event yesterday with the help of my Son-In-Law.

Gives you an idea of the difference in size between the Mach-E and a S550 Mustang.

Here's my Mach-E rolling out after a morning of questions from those interested.

Picked up the Mach-E this morning at the dealership after having the 21B36 Phone As A Key (PAAK) Update done. Looks like another Mach-E owner was in for probably the same thing.

As for the update, my driver side door now opens without having to open the back door first. I get a FordPass app notification when the car locks when I walk away. No more having to look back to make sure. Nice touch there.

Will test PAAK over the next few days and see if it works better than before. If not, will buy and have another FOB programmed.

I have been neglecting this thread!

Really have not done much since the first flurry of mods. Kind of ran out of money. Will do some more next year. Still contemplating winter tires.

This photo was taken near a popular seasonal take out restaurant near Oswego, NY called Rudy's Lakeside. The late July day was warm and sunny which brought out all the blues of the sky, lake and my Infinite Blue Mustang Mach-e.

I signed up for a Community Solar project last year and got in line for an upcoming installation. Got an email informing me it will come online in April of 2022. The company is Arcadia Community Solar (https://home.arcadia.com/solar). I got this graphic of what my Zip Code energy breakdown is from the website:

Ford Mustang Mach-E stMache - Blu Max i-5Z9ZWcM-L

We have always had Hydro though it has gotten less over the years. The Nine Mile Point nuclear power plants came online in the early 1970's when they were considered a good thing. Wind generation is a big up and comer with the winds coming off Lake Ontario and land owners enjoying the windfall in leasing to those companies. Pardon the pun.

Back on October 21, 2021, I hit tire debris on the NYS Thruway (I90) and sustained about $3100 worth of damage according to my insurance company using just photos of the damage.

Click Here for a more detailed post.

Ford Mustang Mach-E stMache - Blu Max i-7CGtzjX-XL

Got the estimate on October 27th and the shop ordered the parts given. Was told the parts would be in by today (11/29/2021) and to bring it in. I am concerned once they lift the car more damage will be found and more parts needed. Crossing my fingers!

Only good thing is I told them if they are replacing the whole front bumper cover to NOT drill any holes in it. I will take care of reattaching my front license plate with Craig's Mustang Mach-e bracket. Will need to order a replacement for the Adhesive Mounting Base as the bracket was not damaged.

Here's the after repair photo of the same area as above. Picked up Max on January 13, 2022.

Ford Mustang Mach-E stMache - Blu Max i-JcX8T7Q-XL

Good as new and no more holes where I took out the license plate bracket as I wasn't able to delete it from the Job 1 order.

Got some good news and not so good news yesterday.

Called the body shop to see if there was any ETA on when the work would be completed. Found out the front bumper was completely replaced and it was painted (the 30 day clock to when I can get it re-Xpel'd has started). That was the good news.

The not so good news was they did find something that was damaged and the part would be in "by the end of the month". The part is either the whole passenger side front headlight or a part which held it in. Will need to get clarification. If they do replace the whole headlight, I will need to get that re-Xpel'd as well. This was something I thought would happen.

Looking at the glass half full, the car will be out of the upstate NY elements while the paint cures.

Another update....

The Body Shop is still waiting on the Passenger side Headlight assembly (yep, it's the light not something else). It is supposed to be "released" by mid-January. I guess Ford can not part with one until then. Otherwise, all the other parts are in and all the painting to the exterior pieces (basically the front bumper cover) is completed. They swapped out my insurance rental with a loaner, too. This might be a long wait...sigh!

Hey Scott - wondering if you got any indication from the insurance company the the Xpel was covered. I asked my Xpel guys this question before I had mine done and they said the insurance company *should* cover it, same as they would any other accessory (stripes, etc). They do a lot of work in this area so I suspect they have a pretty good sense of this. Of course, YMMV with your insurance company. Wishing you the best.....

Well....dummy me, I just assumed since it was a customer add-on that it would not be covered. I will give them a call and ask. Thanks for pointing this out.

Again, thank you. My insurance company, GEICO, will reimburse me for up to $1,000 for the replacement of the PPF. Should cover it since that's what I paid back in May which included both headlights and partial hood.

This is awesome! Glad I had this conversation (heck, I'm glad I *remember* the conversation) and was able to suggest it.

Let's have a cold one at our NY State meetup in 2043 when COVID is over.

Blu Max woke up this morning. It had been in a deep sleep state for the last three weeks. I called the body shop a few minutes ago to see what was up.

The headlight finally came in and they are putting it back together. They figured I should hear back from them tomorrow. Crossing my fingers and toes!!! ?

As luck would have it, they called me late this afternoon and I got to bring Max home tonight. The front bumper cover is now bracket and hole free!!!! Here's a couple of very dark images. Will get better ones tomorrow.

Even after sitting for over 20 days in a deep sleep, Max remembered my iPhone and all the settings. Now to make an appointment to get it re-Xpeled and then on to the dealer for software updates in February.

The weather as been lousy since I got Max back but today it was sunny though still cold. Went through a Wash and Rinse Only No Touch Car Wash and took a few photos of the repaired areas. Taken with an iPhone 8 Plus.
