Well we had this issue. We took the trip to NM to St.Louis dropping our children off in Oklahoma along the way we made it all the way to St. Louis just fine. However, when plugging in at St. Louis we got a charge failure from the charger that we plugged into. After that the car would not start again. We spent all day trying to get towed to a nearby dealership that would take a look at it. All dealerships said that they were out of service appointments until July. Therefore, we have spent the last four days stuck in St. Louis with no way to get home. We are now booking our own flight to get home and hoping that somehow when our car is fixed it gets sent to us. So this has happened to someone.

What spec Mach-E? Were you using DCFC? Were you driving it hard at all?

We have a Mach-e premium four wheel drive extended long range. It was built in November of 2021. Yes we were using the electrify America fast charger. We had not been driving it hard. We were just on a regular family road-trip.

i am aware this has been reported and a fix is coming. However, it s a little too late for us. We are stuck over 1065 miles/20 hours from home. The high voltage transfer part is not even yet available. The notice on the recall came out the same day we had the issue. It is interesting a Ford Mach-e engineer was at the dealership that day and saw the problem. It was one day too late for us. the car is bricked. It won’t even come on.

You will want to get Ford Corporate involved in your case. The can IM them here using the Ford Motor Company account here. They might even reach out/respond to this thread once they see it.

It is supposed to just be an OTA update. Hopefully the dealership can just install it for you to get going.

No. Once bricked, they need a new HVBJB.

I don't think the software update will help if the car has already experienced a failure.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

I'm curious did you spread this trip out over many days, or was this done as quickly as possible? ABRP thinks that is nigh on a 20+ hour trip with almost 5 hours of DCFC. I suppose the oppressive heat can't be helping.
