No one should have to have the liquid assets outright to purchase an electric vehicle in 2020. That’s some elitist BS right there.

It isn’t about it being an electric vehicle or my being elitist. It is about our making financially sound decisions. We should not be living on the fiscal edge, because the future might throw some funky shit at us. If my neighbor buys a reasonable car for his financial position, I may not have to send as many food stamps his way when the pandemic takes away his job and he had previously committed all his savings to Dearborn.
