MME Premium ER AWD on order

I received an update from my dealer today that might be helpful for others trying to figure out what is going on.

My dealer met with his Ford representative yesterday and said he had only 4 MMEs to allocate across all 14 of the dealerships he works with. (My dealer didn't get any of them.) Also, he said Ford didn't give any allocations to any dealership in May or June for ANY vehicles (not just MME) due to the chip shortage. It is a freaking mess out there.

Based on this information and from what I have read in other posts, Ford is definitely allocating MMEs to regions and then to specific dealers. So there will be no way to correlate your order with another outside your region, even if you place your order at the same time and for the exact same configuration.

My dealership told me that as soon as they get an allocation, my order will "pull". Maybe that means it will then be scheduled for production, or maybe just put in the queue to be scheduled. Either way, nothing will happen to my order until the dealer gets the allocation from Ford.
This still doesn't shed much light on whether those ordered a long time ago, and are already in production with a window sticker, are being completed as soon as parts are available, and whether dealer allocations have anything to do with these.

Definitely two separate concerns. Once you have a build date - heck, once your order has been accepted - the dealership's allocation volume is no longer a factor.

Although I cancelled my order, I can still track the reservation on Ford web site.

Estimated Delivery date just slipped from "7/29/2021 - 8/4/2021" to "10/27/2021 - 11/2/2021"

Welcome to the Mach E Forum Submitted Orders List. And congrats to all the future owners on the list!

This list is for ACCEPTED ORDERS ONLY (reservations which have been converted to accepted orders).

1. Please use the Order Submission Form to add yourself to the list.
2. Post a reply in this thread to let us know.
3. Once your submission is approved it will show up in the list.
4. Be sure to check out the STATS sheet below for detailed infographics on take rates for model/trim, colors, drivetrain and battery.
5. Use the Change Request Form to request any changes to your order info in the tracker.

The more crowdsourced data we have, the more helpful it will be for everyone to track the progress of their orders as we move towards the first deliveries!

I received a "It's Yours" email from Ford, so I assume it's an accepted order. I updated my information to your list last night. Curious as to why some order numbers are so short.

Some people either put down the last 4 of their reservation/order number, or they are using the 4-digit order number your get from your dealer, which is a different number.

I didn't understand what "accepted order" meant when I put my order in the list, and maybe I still don't. I submitted my "order request" on-line, but it was not a real order until the dealer entered it. However, Ford has not accepted my order yet because my dealer does not have any allocation. I thought when the dealer "accepted" my on-line order, it was accepted. But I think I misunderstood what that means and should have waited until Ford actually accepts it. Right?

I ordered 2/22 and was pleasantly surprised to have a build date the last week in May. Car shipped on June 1 and I was given and ETA of 7/19-7/25. I thought that was long to Southern California and I was correct. The car arrived on July 5! I just put in the form to include my shipping and delivery date.

I personally haven't been able to get ahold of anyone with any information, it's just stuck. I'm wondering if the "Your Mach-E is delayed" e-mails went out to the wrong cohort of buyers because the people who got those e-mails seem to have received their cars on-time or early, yet a number of us with no communication from Ford are seeing no movement.
Just had my ETA on the tracker update from 8/5 to 10/31. That's going from less than 30 days away to over 100 days away. ? My production date was 6/15.

I called Ford. They said its the microprocessor shortage. According the customer service rep, all Mach-e's currently in production, as well as numerous other models (F-150's, etc.) are all impacted. They are hoping for a breakthrough sooner that would bring my ETA back up closer to August, but 10/31 was the best that they could offer right now.

For me, this is a huge disappointment and at least a minor inconvenience. But, I don't understand how folks who have leases ending, or who really need a car, can work with these kinds of shifting lead times. I think it means that a new production, high-demand, vehicle like the MME simply won't be an option for most of those people. And, sadly, that will severely limit adoption of what is otherwise one of the most promising products for transitioning consumers from ICE to BEV.

I agree it sucks, but at least it's not Fords fault.

I started freaking out when I read this. I knew my car was shipped but I was freaking out that it might get held somewhere for additional work. Looks like i missed this barely. Vehicle shipped 6/15. Showed up in Kansas City 6/25. It's 7/9 and it is currently in Nebraska.

Currently averaging 14 miles a day.....

Thank you for calling Ford and getting some sort of official statement from customer service on the delay.

I am a little skeptical that this particular delay is related to a parts shortage, especially one affecting all Mach-Es currently in production. It seems to me that, if this were the case, then all Mach-Es would have had their ETAs bumped back accordingly. But, so far this hasn't been the case. Some existing delivery estimates seem to have remained unchanged. Furthermore, some vehicles that have just recently begun production have delivery estimates for just a few weeks out, in August.

This seems more like some type of logistics / transport issue that could potentially be rectified much sooner than later. I suppose there's no way to know for sure until / unless some of those board members that have received delay notifications end up getting their vehicles sooner than what they are currently being told to expect. FWIW, this has happened to a few folks in recent weeks. Some were told to expect delivery a month or so later then they'd been told originally, only to have their vehicles show up on or even before the originally expected date. Let's hope that something similar ends up happening in these new cases as well.

How far in advance of the build week does the VIN start working to pull up the window sticker or the other details available from the VIN Lookup tool?

As far as the window sticker goes, mine became available the Wednesday before my build week. I believe (but would not swear) that the VIN lookup tool began returning data at that same time.

If you have your dealer order number, you can pull up information earlier using:
