What's the significance of the Order ID vs Order #?

No significance at all to the 4-character Order-ID. Those appear to be unique only to the dealer, not Ford. Thus have no bearing on priority or sequencing.

The 8-digit Order# (which is also the reservation# for those that reserved months ago) is a unique Ford number. It's loosely sequential but with lots of gaps. So there's usually a relativeness to the number (e.g. 10050000 is likely after 10030000), but not 20,000 cars later. It doesn't project an actual quantity, just relative positioning, and only loosely at that. The date means more than the number.

Submitted my update! I had been thinking about exterior changing color, but the price reduction spurred me to go ahead and send that email while also upgrading from Select to Premium.

My wife rolled her eyes so hard when I told her.
