Slow day, or just old habits die hard? ?Couple of suggestions to improve the frunk release:
1. Place it prominently on the top menu bar. I shouldn’t have to burrow around in submenus every time I want to open it.
2. Keep it enabled after the vehicle is turned off, the way the trunk release is still enabled after the vehicle is off.
Minor nits in the grand scheme of things, but they’d certainly improve the frunk experience ?
I have a kid. No way I’d let her get anything out of my trunk. I’d be worried she would scratch the back. I get out and get things for her.I agree. But for a LOT of people - like anyone with kiddos for starters - one touch access to the trunk is a big deal
I agree this would be ideal. I just think that Ford won’t want to support it. Just like they didn’t want to support the two different screen sizes and we lost our tiles with usable info at the bottom.Customizable ribbon is the solution.

Like everyone using ICE vehicles? And here I am double pulling that handle like some kind of chump.
^^^^ This Ford!!! I use my Frunk 10x more than my Trunk!!! Please don't grey out the Frunk Button and Leave the Trunk Button Active after I shut off the car and before I open the door. So glad someone else doesn't like it, "misery loves company" LOL!!!But when you turn off the car (before opening the door), the frunk button turns gray and isn't clickable. The trunk button stays active.
I don't have a frunk button on the center screen, but this touches on one of my major annoyances with the MME. The screen turns off when *any* door is opened after the car is turned off. My wife is out of the car the instant I turn it off, which prevents me from (quickly) opening the trunk. I have learned to not turn the car off until I'm sure I'm ready. This, of course, has created a new problem: it's really hard to distinguish parked and turned off from parked and still on. About half the time I leave the car on when I get out, which triggers the big VEHICLE IS STILL ON warning. For some reason, I used to feel slightly embarrassed by that, but I'm learning to let it go.^^^^ This Ford!!! I use my Frunk 10x more than my Trunk!!! Not many ICE vehicles have frunks ?Like everyone using ICE vehicles?
Button? What's a button? Some of us are still stuck with the manual lever. Not throwing shade at your love of all things frunk, but Ford hasn’t even put the Trunk button on the top ribbon yet.
Ford should just send it via OTA. We shouldn't have to work for it with a PITA service call and begging. You shouldn’t have to pay. It is a very quick thing and the dealer should do it out of goodwill.
I can't think of any reason they decided to gray out the button when the ignition is off. That said, if I turn the car off that means I'm getting out and pulling the handle isn't a big deal. For me, having the button in FP has been the game changer. It makes the frunk so much more useful now that I can open it without having to open the door and pull the handle.^^^^ This Ford!!! I have had my Mach E for two years and I am still waiting on the Frunk button. Be happy you have it.Couple of suggestions to improve the frunk release:

I really wish some car company would figure out how to just not even have a power button. Wouldn't it be great if the moment you open the door everything is just on, and all you do is put it into gear and go? And then when you park you just get out and walk away? That would be super cool ?I don't have a frunk button on the center screen, but this touches on one of my major annoyances with the MME.
