I feel for you folks in the desert wasteland this time of year. It looks to be about 107F there now. It's 85 here and I don't like to sweat.

It's 110F here in the desert and yesterday afternoon the Mach E was screaming like a jet engine in the garage, but it had finished charging early in the morning. When I opened the Ford app it indicated "Conditioning the battery and cabin". But I have no departure times set and it was not actually cooling the cabin, only the battery. It will only do this if plugged in, I guess Ford thinks it is OK to have a hot battery if not plugged in.

My GM EVs keep running the HAVC to cool the battery for 20-30 minutes each time I shut them off in the hot summer. I can go into a store and come back out with the cooling still running. I hear Teslas running the cooling in parking lots all the time also.

personally, have never used the defrost setting let alone the MAX defrost setting in the last 5+ years in any of my Mach-E's

It’s not just cold climate areas. Upcountry Hawaii island, think Monterey in the summer and the Central Valley in the winter. I need to use max defrost a few times every winter. Otto has been set to 72 F since it left the dealership 5+ years ago. Winter morning temps here get down into the upper 30s upon occasion and the low to mid 40s every day. It’s also humid, because Hawaii. Anyway, the windows can fog up pretty fast. Max defrost takes of it.

117F a couple days ago and that's the weather I love! I will never again live where I have to shovel snow or own a winter coat! Been there, done that, don't wanna go back.

Got the biggie today in the UK, the UI all updated, it gave me the blue bubble and the new console graphics - and then promptly told me it had failed and it would try again soon. However I got to keep all the new visuals

A half win.

The app thinks we were successful, the car does not, but it looks better and is more responsive.

It may be due to a low 12v battery SOC. Try to keep your car charging on a L1 or L2 charger but set the L2 to the lowest current possible so it takes the longest amount of time, this will charge the 12v.

The Sync update comes after the TCU is sent, so that one should be next.

I got the update, the app said it was done, the car said it wasn’t finished. I got the new phone icon in the menu. Can an update really be haöf completed? Either it’s done or it’s not. Right?
