System off to save battery

The ‘system off to save battery’ message can happen when an update is downloading, the modem runs on the 12V and can cause Sync to be switched off. I have recurring ‘electrical system drain’ messages and originally they thought it was downloading updates that causes it (modem on downloading large 1.7.1 update). But the messages continue and it’s now been found that I have a drain of 0.1A somewhere, but they’ve not found it yet. The dealer has done a pin test, short soak teat and need to have it back for a long soak test to find the cause.

I thought the HVB kept the LVB charged in the Mach-E?

I was going to ask the same thing. I don't understand this issue of battery drains (parasitic or otherwise) and why they should be a problem if the charging of the 12V battery by the HVB is working properly. If the 12V battery loses enough charge to trigger these messages, doesn't that imply that something isn't right with whatever controls its charging by the HVB?

I’ve also been getting 12v battery fault several times a week. My neighbor has the same issue , went to the dealership and they couldn’t find anything wrong.
This is a new car design going to take some time to work the kinks out. All minor issues. I have a dealer appointment early August. Hopefully these coming updates will fix everything.

Well, I’m on day 6 with welcome lighting turned off as suggested by @Logal727

I have not had the screen return. Previously, it always is around day 4 or 5 for me, but this is looking promising!

Well it’s been 15 days now and no return of this!

For me……”Turn off welcome lighting” has cured it!

I’ve gotten the message “system off to save battery” on the center console about six times this past week. It’s been there most mornings when I start the car.
I’ve had the car since December and this is the first week I’ve seen this message.

I wait for the progress bar to time out or turn the car off and back on again and it seems to be ok.

what’s going on? 12v battery issue? Something else?

I completed all the updates via FDRS software last weekend. Also received OTA 2.8.3. Message came back on this morning. Welcome lights are going back off. That seems to work.

I don’t think I’ve had this show up since installing 2.8.3 OTA and the contactor OTA.

so that's when I got this message too, after leaving work.
I had also seen the "12volt battery error" "charge fault see manual" error each a few times.
we brought my car into the dealer last week, they still have it and can't figure out how to fix it. I have seen a steady decline in my range since the errors started about 6 weeks ago as well. They are replacing the 12v battery, and were supposed to call us this morning assuming they didn't get anymore errors.
According to my ford pass app, the car did not charge overnight. My guess is the new 12V didn't help the issue either. I'm probably going to get rid of this car as the dealer also hasn't been able to supply me with a loaner/rental. I have a 110 mile commute each day and I need reliable transportation.

I was also was getting both warnings. The 12v charge fault went away after I updated all my software. Running OTA 2.8.3
All recalls completed. If you turn off the welcome lights the other warning will disappear. Ford knows about this and they’re trying to fix it.

I have all the updates to my knowledge. the warnings had stopped but my range kept declining. which with my commute is not ok. the dealer still has my car.
