I have all the updates to my knowledge. the warnings had stopped but my range kept declining. which with my commute is not ok. the dealer still has my car.
I believe this message is about the 12V battery and not the high voltage drivetrain battery. So I don't think it could effect range. I could be wrong.

They ended up having the car for 10 days, replacing the 12v, 5 modules, and doing a bunch of updates. It’s home now and doing ok. But my blue cruise isn’t working at all and other features aren’t working either ??

I just got and warning yesterday. I’m turning my lighting off now.
my car is constantly going to sleep. Sometimes 10 minutes after driving it somewhere. Dealer couldn’t find anything.

since then I have received some OTA’s up thru 2.8.3 and it is still happening.

when I was on vacation in cape cod and the car was sitting in the sun for several days without driving I did have the warning described here when I turned on the car but car started up without a problem and after a short minute the screen came alive.

what lights are you turning off, the pony welcome light or something else

I was so glad I found this thread on here! The "System off to save battery" message has been driving me bonkers on and off for months. 12v battery was replaced in January, seemed to be ok for a couple of weeks then the message started again whenever I hadn't used the car for more than about 20 hours. But ever since turning off welcome lights and removing the widget, the message has not returned! WOO HOO!!! Even when I hadn't used the car for three whole days I didn't get the message!

So while it's good that there is a solution, obviously something isn't quite right, it shouldn't be necessary to have to turn off welcome lights.

Thank you to whoever it was that initially suggested trying this!

Just turning off the welcome lights worked for me. I still use the widget. Just make sure the app is closed after using it. Ford knows about this problem and is working a fix.

I’ve gotten the message “system off to save battery” on the center console 5 times in the past week. It’s been there some mornings when I start the car and it has appeared twice when I go to start the car to go home from work. I do not have any after-market devices attached. I'll go try turning the welcome lights off (but my wife and I like seeing the pony on the garage floor). At first, I thought it was the heat (we had a record 109 last Tuesday), but it has cooled off (mid-80s) and it did again this morning and this afternoon. Any other thoughts?

It happened to me for first 5 months, all the time. I could drive the car for an hour, park it and 5 minutes later it would go into deep sleep. Never caused a problem in operating the car.

hasn’t happened in the last week or so, maybe due to some of the updates I received OTA.

I’ll turn my welcome light back on and see what happens

You can still see the pony on the floor with welcome lights off, you just need to manually unlock the car with the key button as you approach it!!!

GREAT, my wife will love that -- pony on demand. Note, since I have turned off the "welcome lights" I haven't had any SOTSB messages.

Definitely need to bring this to the attention of Ford Software Development. Anyone have any idea how to do that?
