Help! My 2023 Mach E’s target charge is set to 80% but still charging to 100%. Took it to the dealer showed them and they are going to get back to me. But am I missing something? Did I miss a step?

Save the location, and ensure it thinks you are there.

agreed. I was able to get it to stop by saving location at home and at a friend's place we visit. I had to charge and finish one charge first before it would allow me to save the location though.

That's exactly what I did after I experienced the same issue you described. For me it was when FordPass switched from V4 to V5. So at least anecdotally, I think the cause was somehow related to the app?

I have also noticed the app does not always reflect charging activity accurately. For example, after entering the charging window, the app does not always display active charging. If I select 'start' to start charging on the app, it will ignore the max charge setting on the car and charge to 100%.

Yeah, “Start” is poor wording for what used to say “Charge to 100%” and was meant for forcing a charge outside of your normally set charge window. Ford simplified the wording so much that it communicates as well as interpretive dance ?
