I was out of town for most of the day yesterday, drove about 1hr - 1hr 20 minutes from home. not a super long distance. Before returning home, I thought I would top up using a DCFC station, I was at about 43% total charge, so I wanted to bump it up a bit. Long story short, I plugged in, got a peak (For a couple of seconds) at 68Kwh, and basically stabilized at 33% which is worse than my L2 charger at home! Needless to say I got from 43% to about 52% in about 20 minutes, which is not good.

Anyone else experience this issue? Is there anything I can do for better results? Talk about frustrating..

For those of you who are in Canada, it was a Petro Canada Fast Charge station in Canmore, AB

It’s hard to make sense of your numbers, but it looks like you added about 8 kWh in 20 minutes for an average rate of about 24 KW. The Mach-E maxes out at about 11 KW level 2 so there’s no way you can get 24 at home. What was the temperature? Cold slows charging considerably.

PlugShare reports show that particular charger as slow. At least one person gets it to charge better by plugging in, letting it charge for a few minutes, stopping the session and unplugging, then starting a new session.

Sounds like a station issue, not the car. Good luck.

Meanwhile, i had a pretty good session on EA the other day. Popped in at an EA station where 5/6 dispensers were working and 3 of them were already occupied. The available charger I plugged into was on reduced power but I still managed to get 102kW and 14kWh in 9 mins to take from 35% to 50%.

What would be really helpful is if @Ford Motor Company put a kW readout on a screen somewhere in the car so we could see how fast the MME is charging. We're completely blind to charging speeds if we're on a dumb Tritium charger or ABB unit, both of which show you zero kW info.

Charge rate used to show in FordPass until sometime after June 2021. Ford removed it because….you know….just because.

It's about -2C or 28F in Canmore Alberta right now. Was the OP sitting in their car with a warm Timmies, with the heated steering wheel and seats on, all while playing an intense game of Lane Change on the Center screen, while induction charging the iPhone 13, and cranking Nickelback on AppleCarplay while DCFCing? Probably not.

It was hovering around freezing. All day it was between 32, and 42. Probably closer to 32 in the evening (7:00-ish) when I charged.

As noted share details on Plug Share and contact the provider. If we don’t tell them and other EV owners the problems will not improve.
I see the same hardware problems at my normal stopping locations and I’m tired of telling someone new about the issues the charger is having. Also new owners learn about the apps like PlugShare, ABRP, charging station apps and most of all setup Plug and Charge in your MME.

Off soap box.

Even better, display "Vehicle is requesting N Kw" and "Charger is supplying M Kw" I would think it would be in Ford's interest to clearly show the charger is/isn't providing what the vehicle is requesting (or maybe not if slowness is often the fault of the Mach E)

I charged at a Flo charger at a Canadian Tire when it was about -10 Celsius. The screen on the charger said “50 KW available, vehicle calling for 30 KW.“ That’s pretty slow charging and was probably due to the temperatures although that’s not that cold.

Turn heat off for first 10 to 15 munutes, as Ford recommends, to let the battery warm up and get faster charging.

It's ridiculous that this should be necessary to get maximum charging rate. Another thing that needs to change so that EVs can go mainstream.
