Does the Ford adapter work with your Rivian? I assume it would work with other manufacture's but I haven't had a chance to test it with my Taycan. From what I have read we can only use Supercharger's with the Magic Dock. I haven't had a chance to stop by a V3 Supercharger and see if Ford adapter will work... I do believe it will be a waste of time since I've seen nothing about anyone having any success.
It will work on other vehicles as well since it comes from Tesla (not Ford). The problem is that only Rivian and Ford vehicles have the Tesla network open to them. So your Taycan won’t work until probably sometime next year.

It's not a Ford adapter, it was just sent by Ford. Yes, it will work with a Rivian.

You haven't seen anything about anyone having success using an adapter at a non-Magic Dock site? Where exactly have you been looking? That's the whole point of the adapter.
Actually I'm talking about using the Ford adapter with my Porsche Taycan. Right now the Taycan only works with the Magic Dock Supercharger's and they are in Northern CA... nowhere near me and nothing in Nevada.

I try to keep up with the car forums I read but that's hard to do... this forum included... so if someone has had recent success I haven't read about it yet.

What's the max charge speed you have seen with the adapter and your Rivian? Can it do more than 150kW?

Tesla hasn’t opened the Supercharger network to Porsche yet. Plenty of success with Ford (and Rivian) vehicles.

I am just curious where everyone is keeping their adapters? I keep mine in the box usually in the back seat floor. But too big for the glove box and awkward for the frunk.

Suggests or comments?
I use a padded e-reader soft case and store it in the drivers side door pocket.

Yeah there’s no drop off from normal charging speeds for the Rivian, which peaks somewhere in the 200s (I’m forgeting the specifics)

I'll add to the frunk chorus. I keep all my adapters and cleaning supplies in the frunk, so the back stays clear for other things. I also keep about 20 bottles of water in there and a jump box (in case someone else needs a jump)

Frunk (i.e. junk drawer). In a ziplock bag.

During a road trip, I'll pull it out and move it to the shelf below the phone charging mat, or the door, for frequent access. But I have no use for it between road trips.

it fits in the glove box pretty well actually.

I had it in the back with the mobile charger but that's not convenient if you have anything in the back or actually need to get it out.

Frunk isn't great either.

So glove box.

I store my A2Z, in-case, in the forward console, bottom tier. Fits nicely.
