At least in Colorado, that can get you a ticket. I wonder how long until they decide that their cameras are good enough to decide if you can blow through red lights?

I think it's a balance between doing what's "legal" and what humans expect. Driving behind a car that's driving to the letter of the law would feel like driving behind a student driver, i.e., annoying.

I'm still of the opinion that "self-driving" on regular streets in a passenger vehicle is a stupid goal. I'd much prefer automated home-delivery trucks that are small and light (no need for crash protection for your milk and eggs) and drive at intentionally slow speeds (to avoid massive trauma to pedestrians should it fail). All the videos I've seen so far for FSD on city streets is way more stressful than just driving it yourself.
