My 6 year old said this to me the other day…. I hope the orange pony found a good home up in Idaho, which is where I last saw it sitting for 6 months on a dealer lot.

I’ve been checking every so often to see if there’s a new cyber orange member from Boise…

The process of getting stripes was interesting. Instead of using separate pieces of vinyl, the shop I used just prints out the colors. So why not add a custom pattern?

From a distance it looks like a black stripe with red borders. But I wanted to add a texture that you can only see close up.

Nice subtle variation. Well done.

I put these stripes on myself and it only cost around $60 for the large stripes down the middle and I believe it was around $120 for the side stripe decal. I have placed many decals on various cars but the one's going down the middle were the largest that I have applied.

That looks *fantastic*!

I'm a limited stripe lover, but white on Grabber Blue and blue on white are just classic Ford combinations for me.

I'm supposed to have one here in California.

It's a fix it ticket.

I figure if I get stopped then I will deal with it.

I also tinted all the glass at the same time that I got my stripes. Not legal either.

I would say 60-70% of Tesla's don't have the front plates on them out here.

The last thing I want to do is cover up the look of the front of my car with a plate.

If push comes to shove I like the Stow and go bracket solution.

I've been looking for a good paint shop to take care of a little scratch, powder coat the wheels (black), paint the calipers (red, hopefully, rapid red like the car), and now I might get the stripes too... where's the one you went to? I'm in SoCal.

I bet that you have many shops down there too choose from.

I did a quick google search and found one that I liked.

I like your choice of keeping the front area with the Mustang logo stripe-free.

Thanks. I thought it would look too busy after the front plate gets added in later this year. (I'm hoping for a vinyl wrap plate.)

I had them do the Racing Stripes, Tinting on all the glass including the roof and then a 5 year ceramic coating.

All the work cost $4K.

They did great work in my opinion and I’m very pleased with it.

I went to the Dublin location Aegis.

Was the Glass Roof wrapped? I have a Premium but I was thinking that the Glass Roof was on all of the MME's?

The glass roof was an option on 2021 GTs. It's also not standard on the Select trim (not sure if it's an option or not). It was standard on the Premium. I opted my '21 GT-PE to not have it, which also meant I could not option the 360 cameras into the car. Anyhow, I think that the European RWD model comes standard with the metal roof. ?‍?

The pattern is a great idea. I have long thought about hood stripes and I could match the pattern in the black on the grill of the GT, sort of like you did. That would be very cool.

Right. In this case I was hoping to match the pattern on the radar/louvers part. I feel like we got pretty close:

I won't consider stripes until Ford unrestricts/unlock the GT's full power potential. IMO stripes are for go-fast cars, not posers. My GT will remain naked until then.
