So...do your think all we have to do now is wait for an OTA or another APIM update to put the frunk button back into the Access menu in Sync?
Shouldn't be APIM because Job 1 and 2 are now the same version. Maybe do a couple of sync resets to see if it appears now that BCM error is gone? Also, try the keypad controls.

And for the first time ever...I opened the frunk with the keypad controls. Awesome.

I'll do a APIM reset and see if the button shows up.

Depending on which reset method you use, I'm not sure if FDRS SYNC reset and reset from steering wheel controls do the same thing. I assume that both would have the same effect but that may be too logical.

Same here. It was glorious.
I bet that you can use Forscan to enable the Frunk button in the APIM to get it to show up there untill they push out a new APIM config. I think there's a plain english config to do it...I don't have the car here to experiment with.

I did it both ways, steering wheel and FDRS. I'm sitting in the car now connected and after two APIM resets with FDRS still no button shows up on the access menu.

Baby steps.

I love FORSCAN and was a fanboy for years. Global windows up/down, double-honk, bambi mode, etc.

But now we have a problem when changes made using FORSCAN prevent Ford updates from happening, or they result in unintended consequences.

I think I can wait for the official Frunk button rather than potentially causing an asbuilt trainwreck cause I was too impatient to wait the years for a Frunk button from the Fordaristas.

EDIT: I thought it over and decided that life was too short not to have the Frunk button we're supposed to have. FORSCAN it is!

EDIT - Check the chart above to make sure you don't enable or disable something you don't intend to.

If you make the change the APIM will have to be reset twice.

It won't affect OTAs. I've had my '22 modded for quite some time, and I've received the latest APIM power ups they pushed out with no ill affects. Worse it can do is put things back to stock, and you just have to tweak them again.

I agree. While I don't have the experience of some of you, I just completed 2 OTA updates within the last week and just modded my software in the same time frame (1 mode then 1 OTA, 2 other mods followed by another OTA, just coincidence).

Bambi mode was from the F150s and allowing the fog lights to remain on with the high-beams. Works with most fords that have fog lights.
