Is here anyone from europe, who got the new UI APIM Update?
They should release all the updates at the same time, it seems that Europe and other countries are not a priority.

If this doesn't change my next car it won't be a Mustang.

The EU has bureaucratic red tape that has to be considered before updates are approved for your region. Also in the EU there are insurance regulators that have a say on what updates are approved.

The entire OTA release schedule is a big joke in Europe. I do not mind waiting for the newer GUI, as it also introduces big changes (and maybe bugs). And i think that a newer map of our country and/or europe is included in this release ? Not sure about that.

The latest map updates for Europe were included in the last SYNC / APIM version that also included Alexa (v22228 Rev 539)

That’s why our version was a hefty 15Gb download compared to the US version being about 5Gb ?

…also - in case you didn’t see it elsewhere - somebody on the Mach-E UK Facebook group wrote to Ford UK to complain about OTA’s and all the other stuff.

This was the reply they got…..

(Most of this is just soothing words from the PR department and I can’t verify the legitimacy or correctness of any of this response)

“Hi All,

We’ve noticed a number of you have being posting about various software updates, so we asked our product and engineering teams to give the latest update on some of the most talked about items. We hope this might provide some further clarity and happy to pick-up any further questions this might raise.

Why is there a time difference between Ford Power-Up Software Updates in North America and Europe?
In Europe, we have additional content and regulatory requirements that we have to build into our software updates and testing. We are also focused on ensuring that optimal software is deployed to our customers. This results in deploying updates on a different timeline in Europe and in a different Ford Power-Up sequence compared to North America (N.A.)

When will we be receiving our next Ford Power-Up Software Updates?
We are about to launch the Ford Power-Up 3 series in Europe, which will bring Alexa Built-In to selected markets where it is offered by Amazon. This roll-out will require several Ford Power-Up Software Updates and the release notes issued with each update related to Alexa will advise on progress towards completion. You can find out more here Stay Connected with Ford Connectivity Technology | Ford UK. In line with N.A., we are also working on bringing some updates to the SYNC 4A interface, which we provisionally expect to arrive in the Ford Power-Up 4 series in Europe during the first half of 2023.

When will we be receiving the Frunk Release Button in SYNC 4, for early vehicles?
We had planned to provide this update in our Ford Power-Up 2 series. However, we were not satisfied with the results of our test deployments of this software over-the-air and are postponing this update to a later date, provisionally in the Ford Power-Up Series 4. We are committed to releasing this update with the highest quality to our customers.

What if I am having any issues with receiving Ford Power-Up Software Updates?
We are aware that a small number of our customers have not been able to successfully update to Ford Power-Up 1.7.1. If you have this concern, we would invite you to contact our Customer Relationship Centres who will assist you in investigating and resolving your concerns. We would be happy to answer any other questions that you have too.

What about the different alarm configuration for Right Hand Drive Vehicles that is preventing future Ford Power-Up Software Updates?
The recently launched FSA 22P25 provides an update to the alarm configuration for RHD vehicles that will allow customers to receive future Ford Power-Up software updates. To receive this update the vehicle must be taken to an Authorised Ford dealer.

Please check with your dealer whether your vehicle requires this update.

We hope this information is helpful to the group. If you have any issues, please do not hesitate to contact us.”

I updated my APIM as well as HVAC yesterday. All went smoothly but the car was left with a VDM error as shown in the attached photos which wouldn’t clear. Car is driving normally so far as I can tell. Anyone have any ideas on how to clear pls?

Very common for me with any module update. Drive the car around for the day and then re-test and re-clear.

That VDM error is basically persistent at this point on my car. It clears after a few restarts only to return the next time I do a network scan. Drives me nuts!

Hit this button, then it will bring up the option to "clear and retest"

As for the CMR -- make sure the steering wheel isn't blocking the driver facing IR eye trackers to avoid erroring it. It doesn't make a difference other than having a clear retest. If it's blocked it will show a DTC that doesn't affect anything.

That CMR DTC is going to be with us forever until some engineer figures out how to make the camera stop checking for eye contact when the steering angles block the camera. They should never have put the camera on that little binnacle right in front of the wheel. Maybe that's why the F-150s all have the camera placements they do, so as to avoid this issue. Those engineers understand tht you gotta keep an eye on them F-150 drivers at all times, and know how to make it work.

Tried a Config or PMI on the VDM?

Yep, and the other configs you can do like height adjustment, temp, etc. Same with the PCM! Oh well, it does eventually clear for a moment, doesn't seem to do anything that I notice, no errors, etc., just an annoying DTC every single time I connect to FDRS.
