Still patiently waiting for Sync4a update to appear on our european cars..
Well now I'm going through the list cause I'm curious....I'm up to 8 now that have it, only one was from the EU. Maybe it's a slow rollout...dunno.

Do you think it will be push out as an OTA?

I have never seen a PSCM update come out by itself as an OTA. The only time that the PSCM was updated as an OTA was for one of the BC-prep updates and it was done with the rest of the cruise-control related modules (OTA 2.5.1/2.8.1).

The second thing is that there would have to be a compelling reason to send out this update as an OTA. Given that it took the OTA team weeks (and months in many cases) to send out the HVJB powertrain recall as an OTA....and that was an actual recall, why would we think that they would fast track what looks to be a minor power steering module update...and one that doesn't even change the revision number you have now?

I don’t know. Just wishing. Thanks for the info.

So I did the PCM and the PSCM update yesterday, and I feel like the self-steering is much smoother and more natural. That one could be in my imagination, but without a doubt, I’ve not had a single right-edge dive bombing since the update, and I would fight those frequently. All in all, it was worth the $50 to me to drop the right-side hunting problem.

Does the update hit the powersupply hard while updating? Or is it a USB drive update? How long did it take? The PSCM I mean.

The PSCM isn't long...maybe five minutes. The PCM took a bit and dropped the voltage to about 12.4 even when on a 30 amp power supply. Didn't notice much of a drop with the PSCM. All FDRS over cable, no USB involved in this one.

I ran it using my PL2320 and it did drag it down to 12V (from 13.5 where it started). But it never went below that. I would not try this without a PS.

Got it thanks. I wouldn't try it anyway without the power supply. Just every time I take those damned panels off, I lose another clip. Damn things cost, $3.50 each GEEZ, LOL

Where did you get the handles for your plugs? It’s a great idea - I’m always having to pick at the edge of mine to pop them off (still way better than having to remove panels though)

Not only where did you get the handles, where did you get the plugs and what size hole did you use?

They are drawer pulls (handles) from Lowes.

Sorry just realized that doesn't translate...Lowes is a DIY store here.

Just remembered...I used shorter screws than came with the handles cause the plastic isn't that thick. Just so you know while you're in the store to get those too.
