Same thing happened to @Skyman63 when he did those updates last night. He went back out to his car an hour later and rescanned it and the GVMS warning went away.@Mike G, did you upgrade all your cars to the latest software? I'm not seeing the PCM, BECM, SOBDMC, SOBDM updates you saw the other day. Seems there's a block on the BECM as FDRS is showing a GVMS warning today.
Oh sorry......yes, I misunderstood your post. Open a case to see if they clear it out before your license expires.@rugedraw if I understand your previous post, it sounds like @Skyman63 was able to install the updates but got the GVMS warning after the update?
The only update I could do was for the BCM as that was the only one showing as soon as I loaded FDRS. I think my GVMS warning for the BECM is preventing me from seeing the other module updates which I'm guessing I can't clear until Ford decides to unblock it?
If you'd like to compare to another 23, my VIN is in the first post in this thread: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/23-job1-service-vehicle-soon.37694/Thanks for confirming. I made a request so let's see what happens, but I wonder what changed from when it was first made available to today. Also I wonder if anyone else has this block or if it's just me...
Looks like your 23 job 1 has the updates and sorry to hear about the issues you're going through now.If you'd like to compare to another 23, my VIN is in the first post in this thread: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/23-job1-service-vehicle-soon.37694/
Yes, the warning showed up after I had successfully applied the updates. And then about an hour later it was gone.@rugedraw if I understand your previous post, it sounds like @Skyman63 was able to install the updates but got the GVMS warning after the update?

I'm not sure that typing the VIN into FDRS will cause the GVMS warning to show up. Most likely, a network scan with FDRS would be needed for that to populate. The last time PTS shows @garyd9 's modules reported themself to the cloud was July 10/11 which makes sense since he got an OTA that day.Looks like your 23 job 1 has the updates and sorry to hear about the issues you're going through now.
Yeah, I didn't have any GVMS warnings to deal with.@Mike G, did you upgrade all your cars to the latest software? I'm not seeing the PCM, BECM, SOBDMC, SOBDM updates you saw the other day. Seems there's a block on the BECM as FDRS is showing a GVMS warning today.![]()
Looks like there's a new SSM, SSM 52757, for 2023s with DTCs stored in the BECM. Wonder if that's why I have the GVMS warning for the BECM.
| SSM 52757 2023 Mustang Mach-E/E-Transit - Illuminated Powertrain Malfunction (Wrench) Indicator With Various DTCs Stored in the BECM |
| Some 2023 Mustang Mach-E/e-Transit vehicles built on or before 09-Dec-2023 may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P0B3B, P0B40, P0B45, P0B4A, P0B4F, P0B54, P0B59, and/or P0B5E stored in the battery energy control module (BECM). Vehicle may also exhibit a no start condition, inability to charge the battery and/or a "Stop Safely Now" message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may be due to an intermittent condition in the BECM flexible printed circuit cable. If after performing Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics no concern is identified, attempt to duplicate the concern by driving the vehicle on rough and varying road conditions in one pedal mode. If the condition returns, re-run the Battery Health Test using the service scan tool to identify the suspect cell(s) and then proceed with battery module replacement. Refer to WSM, Section 414-03A. |
