So interesting that this old sedan is a good bit taller than our new-fangled 'crossover'. I guess they knew what they were doing way back when.
Well, the EPA does consider the Mach-E to be a “small station wagon”.

BTW, speaking of Model A’s, my 93 year old father was known as a hotrodder and speed demon when he was growing up in Grass Valley California and driving in the mid 1940’s. He could get his Model A up to 60 mph for brief periods.
Grass Valley is all grown up now, too.

Great article. Just think….if we had stuck with electric cars in 1915 this planet would be in much better shape!

It is indeed. No longer a quiet mining town. Both my grandparents are buried there as well as an uncle who died as a baby back in the pre vaccine and pre antibiotic days.

My mom’s youngest sister lives in Grass Valley now along with her husband who had a 1966 Mustang Ragtop he had painstakingly restored only to have it totaled (while it was parked) by a drunk driver.

Thank goodness I took the picture before the other owner came back to his car. He didn’t want to talk or barely acknowledge me. He unlocked the car, got in and drove away.
Hasn’t anyone ever asked him how he likes his car?
Looks like not much has changed for Ford's color options since the Model A days!!! Black (another version of Gray)!!! All kidding aside, Great Pic!!! Ps. The "Owner" I'm assuming is the Model A owner. Just checking.

I had a then and now too. I want that color as a Mach E Option for sure! But, it was an original paint 289 GT package. It was beautiful.

Thomas Edison wanted Henry Ford to build electric cars, but Henry didn't want to. Yet Clara Ford did drive a 1914 Detroit Electric that used Edison cells, even established some road trip records for a woman. That electric car is still drivable, only needing a charge to run.
https://cleantechnica.com/2014/04/11/henry-fords-wife-wouldnt-drive-model-t-kept-electric-car/

History could had been much different if Henry did build his first electric cars.
Very interesting read, thank you!
