I will be reserving one. Can always back out before converting to an order. I love my MME and if they add a lot of that into it I am game.

I would say if you are serious about getting the first model year of the F-150 Lightning, don't wait. I highly doubt you will be able to get one as easy as a Mach-E.
I guess it's all relative, but you call this easy?!?!? ;) ? ?

Maybe after I get one of the Mach-E’s paid off. But honestly, I bought the second Mach-E to make my ICE F-150 last longer. But… if the price of the Lightening is right ….
and the trade in of the 2018 F-150 is right…
and I can pay off one MME before they arrive….

could be possible.

Will definitely by thinking about it. It depends on specs (range, etc), and price...

I dunno, I think the sort of people who would buy a Tesla or MME are a bit of early adopters and probably already sold on EVs.

It seems like to me the F150 \ Chevy Pickup \ Dodge Ram crowd would be much harder to convince. We'll have to see what the range, towing, payload and all that looks like. Of course probably 90% of people just have a truck because, they never tow or put anything in the bed at all
I was never in the market for a minuscule SUV (my previous cars were, in reverse order, an Explorer, Expedition, Taurus SHO, Taurus SHO, Mustang Ecoboost Convertible, Fusion Energi, Edge), and as soon as the CX727 was announced, I was on board. This is before I knew it'd be a "Mustang." Although I change my current model every year or so, I also have my "long term" car, my 2004 Expedition.

I'm not a pickup customer. But if there were an all-electric F150 Crew Cab, I'd become a pickup customer. I can't be alone. We're a huge conquest market. This isn't about existing owners, but new ones. Oh, hell, yeah. I'm on board. Shut up and take my money.

My guess is the electric F-150 will sell well (if priced reasonably to ICE F-150), especially with day construction commuters. For me, while I'd love to get one just to have, I need ICE to tow my 5th wheel on our trips so keeping my F-250... No chance I'd ever consider towing with an ev due to amount of stops and time needed to charge. But you bet I'll be watching the reveal. Maybe Ford can have it run over the top and crush one of EM's 'lost in space' trucks, monster truck style.

Given that Ford Trucks are famous for towing capacity, I wonder just how much of that vehicle is going to be battery? Or will it be like the Mustang Mach E and not rated for towing?
Ford wouldn’t be so dumb as to release an F-150 that can’t tow.

Just need an OTA for the Mach-E that enables this for us.

Heck I'll take a dolly tow if flat tow won't work (RWD only of course ;) ).
I want flat tow to be able to regen and charge the battery.

yes, I know that would add drag to the tow vehicle thereby causing more pollution.

I’ll bet they’re all crew-cab the first year.

I just want to work in the building where they are going to build the BEV F-150.
