Tolls Not Detecting IPASS

Our EZ-Pass transponders have the same form factor (and thus are likely the same device electronically). Mine is mounted in the same location and I’ve never had read problems in PA, DE, MD, VA, or the DRPA.

Same here. My EZPass is identical to OP’s and I have no issues in the dotted area.

Also it looks like you have it mounted upside down? I'm guessing if you flip it and lower it a little you'll have more success.

I have the same type of IPass transmitter and haven't had a problem with it a little lower and right-side-up.

Good catch..my transponder has no “up” arrow but by chance mounted it with the label readable.

I have my Uni-Pass on the right and our community RFID gate tag on the left. Both work fine.

Works for me in this location-

That’s a little low, it’s overlapping the coating a little at the bottom. You want about 1/2” of border between the pass and the black cutoff.

To anyone mounting theirs, just center it in the shaded area the best you can. Don’t get close to the edges. It should work fine if centered.

Now, before someone said to put in the dotted area, I did and it is very inconsistent and sometimes, the tolls won't even register it. I have gotten invoices for unpaid tolls and I'm getting annoyed. I am going to get more Velcro strips to try the left side and see if that is any better. Any one else has this problem?

Just flip it right side up and re-center it in the shaded area.

So I went out and got an Ipass sticker. This requires me to stick it to the inside. Could I still put it on my plate?

Did mounting this sticker in your car work? My transponder apparently expired a few months ago (The issue with putting it in a spot where you don't see it).

Ordered the sticker, but just wanted to confirm it worked.
(Planning on putting it in that same dotted area spot)

I didn't end up using the sticker when I reposition my transponder to the dotted area. I think as long as its within the area, it should be fine because the Mach-e's glass apparently messes with ipass sensors that they can't detected it. Too bad that I can't put it behind my mirror.
