What memory issues? Are you sure you were reading the right volumes?
Yes, reading the correct 'volumes'. The memory aspect of lithium batteries is old news - been a known issue since their conception. Maybe do some research...
Seems like some don't really read a post but will take up a portion even if it is a question to make arrogant remarks - I'll be more careful not to ask questions that step on tender toes.

I guess I'll need some help with the research. A Google search of "lithium battery memory" results in a long list of articles explaining how lithium batteries have no memory effect. (not implying they don't have other issues)

It's not arrogance. I'm asking for information since I've always thought that the memory effect stopped being an issue after NiCad and NiMH batteries fell out of favor.

All,
I'm brand new to the Mach E world, just got a 2023 Mach E GT with the long range battery. My question is what type of mileage range are you getting with a 100% charge. Mine is giving me about 264 miles on a 100% charge. Is that normal? Should I expect more? What are the rest of you getting with the GT and long range battery?
Is the car really giving you 264 miles of range or are you getting that from the Guess-o-Meter?

The memory of lithium batteries was a concern but this experience is with model aircraft lithium ion batteries - probably not applicable to this car?
There is no memory issue in automotive lithium batteries.

The 274 miles it's what the car indicating on a full charge before i left in the morning. I drive about 160 miles round trip to Savannah, Ga twice a week. Driving 75 to 78 mph on hwy 95 (avg speed is much slower becauseof town traffic). When I get home I have about 50 miles of range left. Which is perfect. So it's giving me approximately 310 miles of range, which is better than expected. Because it's new and I have really been getting on it when I am just tooling around town, I assume the computer is drawing my average expected distance down. More normal driving I assume will change my available distance.

160 round trip + 50 = 210 miles of range. Which is not unusual on the highway especially if the heat has been used. I get around 2.4 mi/kWh in my typical 140 mile (one way) commute. Since my battery capacity has degraded over time, I only have around 85 kWh at 100% SoCD. Which means my normal commute range is 204 miles 100% to 0%. Around town it is much better. Highway speed kills efficiency. It is exponentially worse the faster you drive.

Sorry, your correct on the math. Thanks. Still meets my needs for the commute.

I have had mine as high as 400 miles in a full charge - Normal 350ish for me. In Florida & I drive like a Grandma! It changes based on my Driving & Tempurature.

I have the E awd premium extended range battery, in the summer months I'm seeing 230 to 280miles on road trips. I typically charge when I get just below 10%. The range if I full charge usually shows 300 to 320 but I don't touch that at hwy speeds 70+. During my work week I have been only charging to 50 or 60% and it shows 220miles for my range. Honestly I would just get familiar with where charging stations are and not worry much about the range guess o meter.
