We have a '22 GTPE. Love the car. No problems to date. Drives terrific, with one caveat. The turning radius on these cars is atrocious. The turning radius is one of the worst I have ever experienced. Otherwise, my wife and I both think the car is absolutely amazing.

It’s not great, but I’ve definitely had worse. Looks like it’s 39 ft. Interesting that the GT is 1 foot more than other models.

FWIW, the model Y is almost identical. My wife’s Lincoln Aviator is 41 ft.

It is similar to a Focus ST / RS which I own / owned so in general you do get used to it. However what makes it a lot worse than it really needs to be with the GTPE is the appalling steering ratio as it takes far too many turns of the wheel to go from lock to lock.

Ford already had a nice super fast steering rack in the C2 parts bin that should have been used on the GTPE seeing as it was supposed to be 'performance' trim, instead they gave it the steering ratio of a bus.

It is horrible when pulling into parking spots. I have never had a car where I had to back up so many times to be able to park straight. Our other car is a Subaru Outback--world of difference between the two when parking. And with the Subie, I can easily do a u-turn without backing up--not so with the Mach-E. But otherwise, the Mach-E is awesome.

Funny, been driving them for 2 years and I can park just fine. Haven't experienced this.

My Dodge Magnum and I laugh at you.

Owns a "GT Performance Edition" ... complains about fitting it into parking spaces ...

Probably because yours isn't a GT? The GT turning radias is over a foot more than the non-GTs.

Easy solution is to park at the far end of parking lots where there's probably multiple open spots. Side benefit of fewer cars to bump their doors against yours. ?

Agree, and that is what we usually do if available.

Ha. Been there. Done that. But for the size of this car, I would expect a short turner radius. By comparison, my 2022 Subaru Outback XT has a turning circle that is more than three feet less than the Mach-E GT.

I tend to do this though sometimes it is merely to help me hit my step count ?. Also, I exclusively back into all spaces. I hate nose in parking.

I've never had an issue there.

In addition, I've been quite surprised at how easy it is to park it (mostly due to the car itself being a bit narrower).

Granted my "other" vehicle has a 188" wheelbase.

Doesn’t matter how far you Park from the entrance. When you come out there’s always a car parked so Close to you that you’re Sure that they dinged your door. Never fails.
