‘21 select SR tech/comfort package. Ford options program due in sept

been debating upgrading to a ‘24 premium ER

spouse said to me tonight “instead of trading in your car, what if we sold mine and I took yours”. She has a ‘20 escape titanium.

would I be crazy to get 2 mach e’s? I was thinking for her next car do a PHEV to have gas as an option if needed… hadn’t considered this

ford is offering a free wall charger in NY… so that’d save a few bucks there too

If you don’t drive more than 150-200 miles in a day. Are perfectly fine with a slightly longer trip if you do, or renting a car on the rare occurrence you need to really go far without extra stops.

why not?

Could also look at 23’s with 0% interest.

I wanted the new battery on the '24 and new engine - don't really see any '23 premium's left in my area

Guess it's an interesting idea about just renting a car if needed...

Never had 2 of the same car before... feel like there's judgement in that LOL

Do you road trip? Are you OK with the somewhat slower pace and increased planning of EV road tripping? Is there anything her Escape does that you will miss? My husband got his EV pretty fast after I got my Mach-E, in part because he really likes driving an EV, but didn't want to steal my car all the time. We road trip, but do so with kids and dogs, so more frequent and longer stops is fine. My husband has a Volvo C40 in part because it tows, which the Mach-E technically isn't rated to do here in the US. If a Mach-E meets both your needs in a car, go for it. I know there are others with two Mach-E's.

2 Mach E isn’t crazy because I’m about to do the same.

Currently a one car household with a Mach E. My family is looking to get a second car, and my wife has decided to get a used Mach E

We do a few times a year… probably 250mi further trip one-way… typically around Christmas, so winter range

We do go skiing which is hard with the mach e, would love if the middle rear seat had a poke through hole on the arm rest… though the escape didn’t have it either

I don’t think she’d seek an EV yet, though I did get an extended warranty and paid for 3yrs BC on my ‘21…. So can at least get the value out of that

Compares to what we owe on the financing for the escape, we could probably get ~3k higher than what we owe for it… the ‘21 mach e, either turn it on part of options, or a trade is is pretty much net 0 (I did get an appraisal)

That‘s not new for 2024. It was there in the 2023.5. And you said you were going to get an extended range anyway, so that wouldn‘t apply.
Did all the revisions go into 23.5? Like improved charging speeds, etc

We have 2! My wife loved mine when I got it last August and she decided to get one only a few weeks after. Luckily, both of ours was during 0% for 60 months.

No regrets, we love them both.
