Disappointing. Nothing new to be heard apart from we are now being told we will confirm our orders the 1st week in December when not so long ago (a week or so) we were told "by the end of November " Also deliveries now Spring 2021, which is 20 March to 21 June which is NOT as far as I am concerned early 2021. My understanding of "early" 2021 was Jan to Mar as were told. I really thought, stupidly, that we might get some good news. Switched of to watch Strictly takes two

That webinar was a farce. Nothing new. All the same stuff over again. And the Q&A was a joke. I only saw Ford EU answer two questions

Given the non information that transpired tonight I am still sticking to my timeline that I predicted in this mornings post. If my theory about our orders already being in the system waiting to be activated is correct I don't believe the extra week delay will make any difference. Time will tell. I was disappointed with tonight's offering. It could have so much better.

Yes the webinar wasn't great - but to be fair to Ford quite a lot of the questions being asked were utter rubbish. The info being requested by a lot of people has been openly available on the Ford website for weeks/months, and people were just being lazy or trolling the twitter account. I got in early - and they answered my question

I found it odd that there seemed to be inconsistencies about UK order confirmation dates between the presentation and the Twitter answers - even at this late stage where you'd think that would have been nailed down by now.

Agree it could have been better - were portions of it live? It's the only way I could explain the how a global company doing a PR gig could make it feel so amateur.

The opening sequence with the EU Electric Vehicles Manager - bless him he looked petrified! ...and the moment the audio of an incoming email and teams notification cut across his voice were priceless. Then we had the techs who didn't mute their audio and were feeding back delayed versions of the conversation on the call - headsets anyone?

But I did learn one thing - I now know what the key fob looks like ?

Indeed - but you just have it in your pocket or bag the same as you would a phone.

I’m deeply disappointed that the phone as a key thing isn’t available here, but it’s not that different to having the keyfob is it?

I guess you have to talk to your insurance administrators. Ford indicated this was due to an insurance restriction.
