True, but why they could get these checks done while the cars have been sitting there built since early December, or even November in some cases is anyone's guess
I imagine its because the problems have only materialised since the US have been having theirs delivered in January/Feb.

This makes most sense.

I guess question for me is do I cancel the order I have that was built early December and re-order to get a later car that wont need any retrofits.... tough choice.

Totally changing the subject as a newbie to ev's I am confused about battery regeneration.

From what I have read and I am probably wrong the regeneration goes from whisper through active to untamed which had the most regeneration. Also driving using opd causes more battery regeneration.

So for maximum range would it be untamed with opd - seems the opposite of what I would have thought. Someone please let me know which is the best for maximising range. I want to use opd as it also spares brakes and discs. I have had a guts full of replacing discs and pads on my kuga - 2 new sets of discs front and back on it in the seven years I have had it. The discs weren't just scored they were coming apart. On the other hand could be my driving!

Because these are new faults since they exited the factory or the factory is so busy / overloaded with issues it's not practical to send thousands of cars back.

In IT we call it fire fighting when the bugs overwhelm us.

This is in line with what my dealer has told me. I'm sure it is a problem with the car and nothing to do with BREXIT.

Personally, I think we should leave speculation and personal feelings aside and keep the forum Mach E related, otherwise it undermines all the excellent work done by those who created it.
Let's call it BATTERYSHIT instead?

Brexit ! I blame Brexit for the numerous faults with a car built in Mexico!
the discussion was up to 10 weeks from Belgium to the UK dealers when others have been quoted 2... assuming the same tests.

By the way, all three colours of the first edition are now available to order, says 10 week availability but changes to 20-23 weeks on the check out page!

When they were originally re-listed last week it said there were no configurations available!

I have just had a light bulb moment. Perhaps it is something specific to RHD cars as well as the other issues hence the longer lead times. Unless Ford are overestimating so that we will pleased when they get them to us earlier.

Absolutely, this is exactly what I said, not more.
It obviously is not related to some problems found on the cars on the manufacturing line (or on delivered cars that would request some changes on the cars that are manufactured and not delivered).

I have the feeling that if anything needs to be done to fix cars, it will be on all EU/UK cars, so this does not explain why it would be 2 weeks for EU and 5/10 for UK (unless someone lies to us and it is also going to last 5/10 weeks to get our cars).

Frankly, I doubt. You mentioned that they might have found something on delivered cars, so there is no chance that this would just affect RHD cars, as all cars delivered at this time (excepting pre-prod models) were LHD, so that does not fit.
