I wonder what happened with the company doing the QC checks for Ford. I thought they made a big thing about being able to do 300 checks a day?

Makes you wonder about the issues that have been discovered. But then didn’t someone receive one in Holland?

I’m just confused. ?

Maybe they do the checks and then pass it on to a specialist Ford team who superglue the nuts, panoramic roof back in and replace the battery with a load of AA's.

They probably do 300 checks a day, but at least for Norway it seems Ford NO decided to wait for more incoming cars before booking a dedicated ship that will go from Antwerp to Drammen - most likely to save costs.

Grand Benelux has been at port in Antwerp for some days now and is the suspect, reportedly waiting to get "even more cars" with them before they go directly to Drammen.

I reread that story and it actually said that they could process 300 a day. Sceptical me says that that means they can check 300 cars a day to see what issues each car has and what needs to be fixed/checked. They then go away and have this done. I know from a service bulletin i saw a while ago that the update to fix the 12v battery problem needs 5 modules to be updated and each module has to be done individually in a specific order. Now if each update takes a hour that's 5 hours just to fix the 12v battery problem.
I also presumed that as FordEUR were running the show that they would try and get EU cars delivered first. Seems I may have been correct.

What is your new eta? I haven't got mine yet! I wear a mask all day at work, so wearing a mask for thr test drive doesn't bother me!

It went from 15th may to 8th

Then I was told on wednesday 22nd may

but I suspect as everyone else of the early builds is 29th of May mine might become that soon!

Probably they thought they could do 300 a day. The reality is that they are far short and that is why there is a delay. Also there is the COVID issue.

But if its already on its way over? And we were told 2 days from Dagenham to dealer a couple of weeks ago

Hannah says "within the final stages of getting its quality checks." My dealer thinks the QC is done.
