I'm so glad you guys (and gals) are enjoying the test drives in your areas. It's been great to hear your opinions on the various models. Unfortunately because my dealer was almost the last one to have the roadshow before the last lockdown they didn't schedule it to come back this time round where they were offering test drives. That means I'll have to wait until my dealer gets his official test drive unit to give it a spin myself.

Anyhoo - the main reason for this post - I just spotted that my Mach-E is continuing to do the Okey Cokey and is playing COMPOUND IN and COMPOUND OUT every few days, but I have lost track of where it has just checked in on today's movement.

My dates so far have been:

01-03-2021 - COMPOUND OUT - Veracruz - Loaded onto MSC Immocolata
01-04-2021 - COMPOUND IN - Antwerp - Offloaded from MSC Immocolata
06-04-2021 - COMPOUND IN - Antwerp - Transfered to AKTRION QA
16-04-2021 - COMPOUND OUT - Antwerp - Left AKTRION QA
22-04-2021 - COMPOUND IN - Antwerp - Clearing Customs

Hi Jon,

Many thanks for your thoughts on this - I think I'll leave things as they stand for now!

I hope your car is enjoying it's nap ?

Hopefully you'll be able to wake it up in the UK fairly soon ?

Kind regards
David
Yes, she's fast sleep now but at least I'll know something is happening when somebody wake her.

I can advise that I am not a lawyer and that I have a certain set of skills.

One is distance selling knowledge.

You can cancel and not lose your money.

Especially as you have all used credit cards.

Lookup Hannah's profile on linkedin. This isn't someone with a lot of experience.

Based on all the delays and the extremely no existant delivery and date changes your money is yours. Test drives don't come into it.
I doubt that has come from Hannah... it's a very typical car salesman tactic. They simply can't change the terms of a contract when they want to. The deposit is described as "fully refundable".

The dealer isn't going to complain as you have in affect increased their allocation and they absolutely will sell them.

Oh I'm completely ignoring what Hannah said and it doesn't bother me, my point is, they want me to make up my mind so they can reallocate yet she won't even answer my questions about dates.

Could be that she isn't being told any dates.

She needed to say that then rather than giving me answers that didn't actually answer my question. A little transparency goes a long way... and that is why Rebecca was so good at her job.

It's her job to find out rather than just come back with 'I dont know'.
I am sure that Hannah, like Rebecca before her, is doing the best she can. She can only pass on to us what she has been told or what she has been told that she can. I am sure she is aware of things that are happening which she has been told that she is not allowed to pass on for whatever the reason. Personally, I disagree with all this cloak and dagger secrecy. Ford should treat us like adults and not mushrooms. I have said this before.
@Iwantonenow was, apparently, told that there were some cars, including (one of) hers, on their way from Antwerp to UK. As I am NOT aware of anyone else having been told the same thing, probably cars that were on GH, I can only assume that that was a slip of the tongue and silence is the order of the day. My dealer had 2 cars on the GH and he hasn't heard anything. @Iwantonenow now has the advantage over the rest of us.
We have all, well most of us, been on this journey for a very long time. We are all aware of the lack of information eminating from Ford, so as we are getting ever closer to delivery why would we expect anything different. It wouldn't surprise me in the least that the next time we hear anything definite from Ford will be AFTER we drive our cars off the forecourt. After all, they informed me that I could confirm my order 3 hours AFTER I had done it.

my dealer said on wednesday when I was at the showroom that he believed they now have a direct route setup from Antwerp to England. I assumed our info that the ships go to Flushing was right and he had been given bad info. Maybe that's the thing Hannah let slip out but I doubt it. More likely everyone is confused.

I have been looking to see if there are any direct ANT -DAG sailings but as yet haven't seen any. Also haven't seen any ANT - VLI which draws me to the conclusion that our cars will go by train to Flushing (Vlissingen) then they will go on either Wilhelmine, Celestine or Adeline to Dagenham. I was told a while ago that unsold/canceled cars would be held at Dagenham. Didn't think at that time they would ALL go there from ANTWERP. Just hoping that we are seeing some movement in the right direction.

So.. I have been following our Dutch friends who have started receiving deliveries.

They have been able to track the software updates on their cars using a system calld FordEtis. This shows when the PTI (not sure what the acronym stands for) for the ECUs on the car are last checked/updated. I remember @portlandg mentioning there are quite a few software modules that need to be individually checked and updated. If Ford Etis has a date AFTER it arriving in Antwerp it most likely means the car as been through the Aktrion QA process. In fact, for our dutch friends, it appears that the cars are arriving at dealers about a week or two after the last PTI update date on FordEtis.

Unfortunately this is not the case for UK cars, between my business partner and I we have two cars on order, one was on the Grande Houston and has a PTI update date of 29th March, and mine was on the Immacolata and has a PTI update date of 20th April, this corresponds to an updated "compound in" date as it moved from Aktrion back to the holding area in Antwerp. Obviously neither car is at the dealer yet!

However I felt it would be useful for a lot of us as it tells us fairly definitively if our cars has been through the QA process yet or not. All you need is your VIN, please see the pictures below

Step 1 - go to https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do and enter your VIN in the box as per pic

Step 2 - on the next page, click on the "View PTI information"

Step 3 - Expand the second box which mentions the Electronic Control Units for your VIN

Step 4 - Check the date on the far right column

This will be your production date if the car has not been through the QA yet, and it will be a date after arrival in Antwerp if the car has already been through QA.

Hopefully as enough cars go through QA and other cars arrive in Antwerp they will start to shift the cars in Dagenham and we will have ours soon!

I said I’d update on my latest Compound status - it appears mine is in Customs Clearance at Antwerp.

Read into that what you will - but progress is progress :)

Well that has just thrown a spanner in the works. My latest vista update received on 23/4 was dated 21/4 and gave status as compound in with location of ANT CUST which I believed to mean it had been cleared from the QC checks and was waiting for onward movement to me. However I have just checked etis and all the boxes that yours are showing as dated 20/4 on mine are still showing 8/12, the date mine was built. Now either vista is lying and my car hasn't been done yet or the other reason is that because it is an early build it didn't need any updates (which I find hard to believe). The plot thickens.
