You need to suck your thumb and put your fingers in your ears for the next 6-8 weeks whilst they get QA'd, driven around, forgotten about, remembered again, moved from one part of the dock to the other, then finally put on a barge, then on another ship across the channel, then wait a bit longer before eventually arriving a the dealer for collection....

Mine is estimated for August 16th at the dealership....

A quick question for the lucky ones driving around in an MME ?

What was the mileage on your cars when you took delivery?

I presume all transport to the your delivery dealer would have been via a transporter or flat-bed, even if PDI was carried out elsewhere ?

just today got my invoice and it says 10 miles. It also has reg no and date of 21/6 so it looks like the dealer maybe has it already and is just waiting for the restriction to be lifted

Just for info...

When you get your car the FordPass app gives you the option to setup Wi-Fi in the Car. This feature provided by Vodafone allows you to setup the car as a personal Wi-Fi hotspot for you and your passengers using a paid for cellular data plan (not to be confused with the cellular modem the the car uses for FordPass connectivity and OTA Updates which you don't have access to)

When initially setup it gives you 1GB of data for 28 days as a free trial period, and the pricing for data plans after that trial expires are now available on the Vodafone website....

Thanks Tone. Is a data plan required to get live traffic info in the navigation? Or is it just for passenger WiFi access?

On my Volvo XC90, if you don't have a sim with a data plan, then you can't have live traffic but can continue to use the app for remote start, lock/unlock etc, location in app etc.

I ended up getting a 3 pay as you go SIM which comes with free 200mb of data per month and this has been plenty the cars weather app and navigation live traffic. I can connect the car to home WiFi for software update packages etc.

Interestingly, we were told that we would be getting 3 months free access OR 3GB of complimentary data whichever expired first. I will have to trawl through my expanse of paperwork to see if I can find where it is written down.

As far as I'm aware Maps & Traffic Updates are part of the car's data system which is included for free.

Obvs if you use CarPlay etc that uses your phone's data which is separate again.

The Vodafone/Wi-Fi hotspot subscription is only if you want to have internet access for other devices in the car (ie the Kids on an iPad or similar)

I think you are correct but I didn't look into it as we are an android family!
