Thanks Tone. Is a data plan required to get live traffic info in the navigation? Or is it just for passenger WiFi access?
This is purely for passenger Wi-Fi.

The subscription agreement for Live traffic and Map updates is covered separately under "Subscriptions" in FordPass which is included for 5 years.

(I've attached screenshots of the subscriptions just to put everyone's mind at rest!)

Yes. That goes through your phone's internet.

A vodafone phone sim only plans gives much better deals than that offering from ford/voda.

I thought we had 5 years on the ford pass charging networks but that's probably because they have confused me.

Ahhh one year of premium access which even confuses me more.

Yes android auto and car play are essentially mirroring your phone screen so use your phone data.

It will be interesting how well it's implemented in the MME. In my Volvo it natively runs in landscape when the central screen is portrait. So only uses the bottom half of the screen.

It will be interesting how well it's implemented in the MME. In my Volvo it natively runs in landscape when the central screen is portrait. So only uses the bottom half of the screen.
In the Mach-E CarPlay uses the top half of the screen - but is large and responsive - so it looks good.

Think you will all have noticed this from the forums in the US but, just in case you haven’t, I think it’s well worth mentioning.

There is a number of people who have posted about the flimsy nature of the badges on the side of the car. The ‘Mach E….’

Apparently, and especially if you have an ‘X’ on the end, they are easily caught with a polishing cloth and snapped or damaged.

They are taking 7 weeks already on back order in the US. That probably equates to a year here in the UK. ??

I’m going to be very, very, careful when polishing mine. ??

Assuming I can remember this post by the time I get my car! ????

Just for info...

When you get your car the FordPass app gives you the option to setup Wi-Fi in the Car. This feature provided by Vodafone allows you to setup the car as a personal Wi-Fi hotspot for you and your passengers using a paid for cellular data plan (not to be confused with the cellular modem the the car uses for FordPass connectivity and OTA Updates which you don't have access to)

When initially setup it gives you 1GB of data for 28 days as a free trial period, and the pricing for data plans after that trial expires are now available on the Vodafone website....

I think it's an eSIM built into the car - so there's nothing physical to swap out unfortunately

Have already caught mine while washing. Not come off completely but it is flapping around in the breeze. I wouldn't put it through a car wash.

I think this needs to be fixed in the Antwerp QC of course and will probably require an extra 2 weeks there. Maybe 4.

So sorry to hear this - are they glued on or do they have mounting pins into the bodywork?
