Just got home after roof and software updates - happy to see the range at 350 miles but when I checked in the driveway on power up 2.1. Have they forgotten to put me up to 2.3?
My dealer did 1.7 for me but my display stayed at 1.6. Was told that dealer installed updates didn't change screen info. However I have had 2.1 and 2.3 done OTA but my screen still says latest was 2.1. My FP notification said 2.3 was successful so who knows.

How the hell did you get that? I’m still on 1.7 after they applied all the updates when I had the work done ?

I reckon they did 1.7.1 and the rest popped in OTA while it was sat at dealership and someone just confirmed it.

It’s still only possible to go to 1.7.1 via dealership tools

Yes…indeed. My OTA failed for 2.3 around the same time as yours wonkey and hasn’t retried since! All I want is extended CarPlay.

So I am super excited that my MME RWD SR is currently in ?? but heading to ??????? next week. Dealers in Derry have been totally superb I managed to get an inventory order 11/02, despite having placed order with dealer in Leeds, dates slip and slip. Anyhow my question is how can I be assured the latest software version and also Ford plus app is installed? Literally like a boy on Christmas Eve ????

On a positive note though my 2.5ā€ frunk plugs finally turned up from USA. Trying to decide whether to drill Big Red or to wait for Chalmers to arrive. It was touch and go on what was going to arrive first - the new car or the plugs!

You’ve got 2.3 then :)
Don't usually use the volume knob, I tend to use the one on the steering wheel. Have just been out to check and my volume level indicator does indeed go left to right now. Didn't know that !!! However, I did read somewhere that 2.3 included a couple of games. I don't seem to have got these. I'm assuming that due to some UK legislation we aren't allowed these.

I share your excitement! Also have the Rwd std. I pick mine up on Wednesday! So far had a very stress free experience with evans Halshaw in Darlington! My dealer said they requested the car to be updated whilst in Belgium. Hopefully it is.

They are part of a little DIY project for those of us who update the software on our cars.

The issue is that if you want access to the 12V battery and jumper points you have to remove two of the plastic trim panels in the frunk. While not difficult these are a real pain to have to keep taking off and putting back, plus the panels are secured with plastic clips that can ping off never to be seen again.

The solution is to drill two 2.5ā€ holes in those plastic panels (one above the + and one above the -) and then plug them to keep them protected.

The win is then when you want to access the 12V battery to either run system updates or maybe use a 12V battery charger you can just pop out two plugs and you quickly and cleanly have access to the jumper points without having to remove trim panels.

There’s been a whole thread about it on here, and here’s a couple of pics…. (The + and - logos are already stamped into the plastic at the factory if you hadn’t noticed them before)

The games weren’t included in the UK version of 2.3 for some reason. You’ll have to stick to tic-tac-toe ?

Did you know, according to the Ford OTA team, 1.6 is the highest available version to European vehicles?
