I made an important discovery during the heatwave…. The melting point of the glue used on the sticky strips that hold on your license plate is an air temperature of approx 38°C ?

???

Doh! Not trusting sticky pads, I use number plate holder frames. Which are screw in and then the number plate slides into the frame.
Looks screwless, but isn’t and doesn’t rely on sticky pads.

Ooopppsss. Good job you weren't driving at the time. Mine fell off the first time I washed the car.

Just a bit of useless information for you all. @Mach-Lee in the US has put up a list of members that have had HVBJB issues. As I suspected ALL (apart from 2 who haven't said what model they have) are AWD variants. I did think that the AWD cars would be the most susceptible to the problem as they create more load on the systems than the RWD variants. I can rest (a little) easier now. ? ?

that doesn't help me :). but i am trying my best to not worry about it. my dealer did some kind of weld job last week and i am guessing at some point a software update will happen.

i don't know if we folks in UK are more blase about it or travel far less because we hardly talk about that issue here.

Mines gone in today for the contactor software update and the 2.6.0 update (APIM plus TPU) as it's tried three times so dealer will update manually.

TC Harrison Derby. So far have no complaints in my dealings with them.
Same here, that's where I take Spark-E and had nothing but good service from them; I even got a mach-e as a courtesy car when I had the recall update done. Mine's booked in for a three day spa treatment next month while they investigate the 'Electrical system drain' problems I've been having.

My car has just had update 2.7.1 installed, does anyone in the UK know if it makes any difference to the car at all or it is all 'under the hood' changes? Sync version is still the same as 2.6.

How weird is that. NO notification on main centre screen of an OTA update being downloaded/installed, NO notification in FP that one has been received yet system update screen says that I have now got 2.7.1 as well. Guess I'll be spending a bit of time this afternoon seeing if any changes are noticeable.

I got the notification, and could see in the widget last night that it had been queued, then retrieved, awaiting installation and success. Just cant see anything different.
