For the front, I use a Dongar adapter so it takes voltage from the mirror so it's only on when the car is on. For the rear, I use the 12V outlet which is powered when the car is on.So I take it mostly everybody that has these dash cams are hardwired to the car. That’s probably the only thing that’s stopped me from wanting to get one with the 12 V battery drain issue. Does the rear camera record even though you’re not looking at it as you’re driving?
