I have a 2022 GT and update 24-PU0102-CHG-SUFX has been failing for the past few weeks. Every time I get in the car I get the update message and it indicates that it didn't complete because it was interrupted (It doesn't indicate what interrupted it). It doesn't matter how much charge the car has or if it is plugged in or not. Any ideas?

Thanks!

This is an untested assertion, but perhaps your charging schedule interferes with you update schedule.

I had the same problem, until I did an "Install Update Now" in the middle of the day. both my charge schedule and Update installation schedule are set to start at 11 PM.

Not proof of causation, just sayin' it worked for me to install when the car wasn't trying to charge.

I have tried updating manually at various times with no luck. :(

Thank you for this. It is puzzling that the interface does not tell you the reason for the failed update other than it was interrupted. It would seem that a message saying the 12 volt battery does not have a sufficient charge to complete the update would be an easy and informative message to provide.

Yes, this particular powertrain update requires a high SOC on the 12V battery. I had to do the "Stay On" Method for a couple hours to get the update to install (even though my car is driven for 1 hour + every day).

I haven't had any luck yet getting mine to install either. Charging the 12v didn't help, a long hour+ drive didn't help, guess it is time to try "stay on".

I am not sure I understand how the stay on method works. How does leaving the car on charge the 12 volt battery? I attempted this and my charge when for 63% to 43% after 4 hours.

Sounds like you left it in accessory mode. It needs to be in ready mode with the shut down timer turned off.

Yes if the car is on it charges the 12V. Here is what I do.
  1. Unplug the car
  2. Turn ON the car - foot on brake and press start button as if you’re going to drive it
  3. Disable "Vehicle Power Down Timer" in vehicle settings
  4. Turn OFF the headlights fully (rotate knob counterclockwise)
  5. Turn off the HVAC - Should show “off” instead of a temp setting on the main screen
  6. Turn off the heated seat and steering wheel
  7. Leave a fob in the car (in the garage so no threat)
  8. Exit the car
  9. Monitor 12v battery level, pull down to refresh FordPass then check the Ford website to see the SOC.
  10. When SOC shows 85%+ then go to car and do “update now”, take fob out.

Right, I believe I was in accessory mode. I will give this another try tomorrow. THanks!

I've been going through this for a couple weeks, including making sure the 12 volt battery has plenty of time to charge, trying the update during the day, etc. Today I was finally successful either due to the luck of the draw, or deciding to try the update during the day (12:15 p.m.) with no detectible items (key, PAK) nearby. It applied successfully.
