Update on Mach-E launch progress from engineering friends in Mexico

Through Ford.com, before it lets you order a Mach-E, you are forced to choose a dealer.

Crossroads Ford in Frankfort: $1,000 deposit, $0 difference from MSRP.

Jack Kain Ford in Versailles: $500 deposit, $1000 difference from MSRP.

They each set their own pricing.

Nice, I didn't know I ordered mine through work. Good heads up though for everyone else.

I'm not even saying, dealer. Everyone is right dealer might be different. Go on the ford website and build a Mache and it now asks for 1,000 dollars. Gt is still 500. So I sent an email to one of my colleges in dearborn and asked him.

To the point, he said there is only room for another 12,000 orders for 2021 not counting GT. If you want it better get it. Once the Mache is on the road and people test drive = sold out.

Are you saying that since I ordered my 2021 Premium AWD ER online on 9/27 I might have a chance of getting one in the 2021 model year? That would be great information to know! FYI, my dealer in the North Texas DFW area said I'm number 13 on their "list"...all Premiums ahead of me.

Hang on now: These have to be prototypes or engineering builds since none of the dealer builds or any customer builds can be shipped out before OKTB right? At least that was my understanding (I can't imagine OKTB was pulled more than a month ahead!?)? Perhaps a few of these will be crashed (so sad) or used for EPA testing?

Are they just loading them up on trucks to be ready?

Inquiring minds want to know?? So many questions....

He might be referring to 2021 calendar year, not model year.

Not all reservations have been converted yet, and they have been able to get more than the initial allotment of 50,000 batteries

yeah, they certainly don't ship cars in small batches of 6 around the country. They go on trains for that. If they are crash test models, poor little mach's...

I was hoping that the dealers in NJ get a route 1; I'd like to see what the wheels look like without the aero covers. I'm not a fan of the tonka-truck look of solid black wheels; the silver aero cover looked a lot better IMHO
