Great response. Thanks for the quick lesson.

Here's a gymnastics analogy. Give Dominique Dawes a brand new floor routine, including a couple of new moves. It will take her weeks to get it down, months to perfect it. Even longer if she goes to a "first ever" move and will have to spend weeks on that one move alone.

We all want our cars to be perfect.
Or even better, a team sport that requires many different players (and coaches) to work together flawlessly in coordinated fashion. Like an NFL training camp, leading to weekly practices, leading to actual game performances. (And even after all that, some teams still suck. ☺)

I am sure that we are all frustrated with the delay to our MME's but I am certain that we would be happy to wait a little longer to get a well produced car from the start. With all the quality issues that are reported with Tesla vehicles, if Ford, with years of car production experience behind them, can get it right from the beginning then I am happy to wait a (little) longer.

So they are making them! Maybe not fast to start; but it's happening and they are making them. I saw a grey one in the lot; that has gotta be mine ;).

Consistent information on the other forum -- if a dealer is to be believed. A Premium order holder told his Mach E is is scheduled for build the week of November 9th. That would mean First Editions built before then.

Are deliveries expected 4-5 weeks after build?

Unfortunately, the quality of information from dealers should be considered as "hit or miss" at best. I would treat that report as nothing more than a rumor.

Did he happen to say what his order number was?

I doubt it will take that long, it's a short train ride up to San Antonio (820 Miles), Dallas or Kansas City and then fan out from there. San Antonio at a blazing 35 mph is 23 hours.

If it makes your feel any better, you’re sitting pretty compared to where I am in line (68k)?

The vehicles at a auto manufacturing plant are built and once they pass CAL line and go left out the door of the plant they do a small road test. Pass or fail then get parked. Then Jack Cooper Transport Co. and RCS Transportation will have one of their workers inspect the vehicle and load it either by truck or rail. teamster union workers also.

Once they put the key in it, its their vehicle. IF anything happens to it, any damage its on them. Not The manufacturer anymore. Then is is shipped to each city then to the dealer. Then once at the dealer they look it over and if its good no problems they sign and accept the vehicle.

Usually if your dealer puts in a order for a certain vehicle to be made. It takes about 8 weeks from that point tell it arrives at your dealer.
The mach-e is not even building our models yet but we all have order numbers just not a vin yet. so if for some reason say your vin got pulled and built date September 1st there is no way you would have it before November 1st.

Any dealer telling people they will have a premium on their lot for sale before thanksgiving. I call them out on that I trust my sources way more and know better. Sorry but that is the truth.
Can some premium make it before end of December oh yes. How many we don't know yet but the faster the line gets going the better estimate my friend will be able to give me.

Funny thing is tesla is using the person buying the car as the dealer, here it is might have problems you want it or refuse delivery. You think your local ford dealer is going to accept bad ford cars and say its ok ford come fix it here later lol. Nope

In the pictures that @trutolife27 posted the top cars don't seem to have front licence plate holders attached whereas the bottom one does. Question for those in US. Are there some states that don't have to have front licence plates and some that do or is the bottom Grabber Blue car for the EUR market?
We don’t have front plates in Quebec/ Canada..... so I hope this Mach E is mine lol
