My wife specifically wanted the Grabber Blue. Part of it is that is the one we sat in at the LA Auto Show. But she is a bright and cheery person and loves colorful everything. She only liked the Rapid Red or Grabber Blue, but heavily favored blue. That's good for me because that was my preference too.
Awesome! I'm glad it worked out for you.

Dude, I don't spend $500 without telling the wife first. She'd kill me if I ordered a car without telling her.
I did.....

heck it was only $500 and fully reimbursable!

But she loved the idea and can't wait to say "I need to get plugged".. lol

My wife has given me skeptical side eye about the whole thing for more than a year now. ?

In the end and even if I already have a Ruby Red 2018 F150, we opted for the Rapid Red it just, in my opinion, gives the car a sporty yet stylish look
I have a Ruby Red Metallic 2017 F-150... such an awesome color and gets compliments all the time...

We do marriage prep sessions for engaged couples at our church, one of the things we discuss is that some people are savers, some are spenders. One way to deal with differences is to have a limit of what one can spend without consulting the spouse. That's where I mention that we have such an agreement - her limit is $50, mine is $5000. I guess it would need to be more like $50K in this case.......

My wife wanted me to get gray, and was a definite NO on Grabber Blue. So . . . Red!
I chose Infinite Blue after first demo I visited, when it was very sunny and bright. Then we went to another demo where it was cloudy and Infinite Blue just was not appealing at all. The 3rd demo we saw both cars side by side and agreed (me and my wife) - definitely - Rapid Red. Grabber Blue has never been mine (or her) choice - it just seemed strange to spend $50K for a car in such a bizarre color - I know, I know, we all different - but sometimes I am amazed how we all are that much different :) Though, this orange for Performance GT definitely caught my attention - honestly, I would probably go with that, if they had a choice of that color in Premium. I know, it's weird :)

My wife likes the Grabber Blue, but she already has something similar, we went with Infinite Blue. Seeing it person really sealed it.

It is a great color, I have a XLT Special Edition with the black stripes on hood and side. It has a killer look, well IMO!!! LOL

I do get a lot of looks and compliments too. No chrome, except the exhaust pipe, just looks really nice and I baby it, wax it a few times per year, always clean!!!

Yeah, I've been to 2 of the road shows with the same experience - in the wrong lighting the blue just looks bland. The Mach E is supposed to be sporty and needs to have a paint job to match.

Rapid Red for me!

Mine said to go for it
My wife likes the Grabber Blue. She liked Rapid Red but not paying extra for it. She really liked Indefinite Blue but it's not an FE color.

My better half has been basically waiting for a new car since April 2016 when I made a reservation for a model 3, kinda glad that didn't work out just in time for the MME reveal.

Ended up driving down to San Diego to get a used MB BEV when the HOV stickers expired on her Prius PHEV since the wait kept getting longer. Other than the really stiff suspension & low range that would have been a near perfect car to me. Looking forward to a purpose built EV.

I should restate and say I’ve been a
BEV enthusiast for 6 years and my wife has accommodated that enthusiasm over the course of a BMW i3 lease and a BoltEV lease...that doesn’t mean the last 6 years have been devoid of side eye....quite the contrary.

We almost got an i3, but opted for the regular rear doors on the MB when the i3 we went to pick up near San Francisco had a small dent on it's fender. Our son preferred the i3 "future car".

Finding a used one in nice condition that we could get new HOV stickers for wasn't an easy task- thus the drive down and tow back from San Diego. Oddly the previous 2 owners never applied for the utility rebate so we received an $800 check later.

My wife learned very early on in our relationship that I knew how to handle the money, better than she did. So i manage the finances.
