If you wait until 2022, that will probably work for the Mach E. Biggest problem is Ford hyped the car a year before it was ready....
Why is the car not ready, Why not hype the mache, So since the oktb took an extra 3 weeks it's not ready? Ford said from the beginning the mache will be ready in late 2020. If 1 mache is sold before the end of 2020 then they keep the original estimate.

How many do you need to be sold for you to JUDGE ford better? 20,000?200?20?
IN the history of modern time. We have seen nothing like what covid has done. Zero, notda, nothing.

I mean I guess I should have called out the toilet paper people when they had two bears wiping their ass with toilet paper in the wood and made it look so comfortable for my bun hole.
When I went to go buy it, the shelves are empty. Not even any john Wayne T.P.

Another biggest problem is the school system hyping up the school year. I mean why do I have to teach two kids at home and also myself and my wife try to keep our jobs? I mean really school system step your game up.

Everyone was so hungry and mad over the oktb. Now it's the shipping? Glad I'm not a witch you might put me to the stick and flame.

A lot of people on here are out of touch with the real world. The mache is coming it's being shipped, everything is moving as well as the circumstance will allow ford to move.

Happy holidays and bless you and your family and the way you celebrate them.

P.S. For all the upset people that maybe don't like it. Just think about the people out there that would give anything for some clean drinking water or a hot meal. What people have we become.

I remember a few hyped Apple products that were promised by year end too and literally only about 200 people got them before 11:59PM Dec. 31. But in the “before the end of the year” category that still counts!
Someone will have their MachE before January 1 and that appears to be quite the accomplishment in this screwed up year.

hahaha John Wayne TP. Rough, tough and won’t take s**t off anyone!

To my forum friends - I've NEVER ordered a car before either (and I never will again) and I find the whole process with the Mustang Mach E to be unbelievable and infuriating! I'm used to doing research on a car for weeks (maybe months) but once my decision is made I go to the dealer and buy the car on the spot! Sometimes they have to "dealer trade" to get the color I want (actually it's the color my wife wants :)) I realize the Mustang Mach E is Ford's first entry to use the Mustang badge for a five door crossover SUV electric vehicle and the demand is great PLUS we're in the middle of a worldwide pandemic and this is a real reason to calm down but the deliveries that are being made seem arbitrary and unfair (and the dealers get theirs first too). I'm done with my rant now and I'll shut up! Merry Christmas everybody and a Happy & Healthy New Year! Mike
If you've been on this forum long enough you're bound to release frustration with Ford. Many a diatribe has been directed at Ford for their almost complete lack of communication. Communications with customers that were eager enough to put $500 down. Eager to hear and see anything from Ford. And don't get me started on the way they're handling the dealerships.
Not being able to change from a GT to a Premier when orders opened was my Waterloo. Also, the frustration and uncertainty of the Mach Drop peeved me a bit. But, I now have one being built. It was worth the wait! Happy Holidays! 2021 is bringing us our Mach-E's.

also my 1st time ordering a car. 1st ford. 1st ev.

i’m a physician.

i’ve spent most of my life depriving myself... studying, doing research or doing volunteer work instead of partying in undergrad and med school, time away from family and friends during those long years of residency (before they put in those work hour restrictions), delaying marriage and a family of my own because of the training/career....so now i am fortunate enough to afford nicer things. i am as excited as anyone for my mach-e (replacing a 13yo volvo i bought used).

but as a front line worker i have been masking for months, all day long, seeing patients, making sure i don’t bring it home to my family. and i am currently working in one of the countless packed hospitals here in california trying to keep people from dying... many are elderly but some in their 40-50s, my age. it’s heartbreaking any time but especially this time of year. and extremely frustrating at the same time.

i have another shift in the hospital towards the end of january, when my mach-e is supposed to be delivered.

yes it’s 4-6 weeks later than i had hoped. yes i will have to be patient and be deprived (nothing new for me). but it will be something nice to look forward to after what will be another tough month.

merry christmas folks and take care

You may be right in your area but my dealer is getting his demo the second week of January 2021 and those who ordered have no cars to be seen! I have to admit, though, that I can't wait for his call as I've NEVER seen, sat or driven the Mach E.
Are you sure theirs will be there so soon? Are these the same folks who told you your car would be built by now?

Use the search to find your dealer’s car? Then use the FordTracker to check its status. If it hasn’t shipped yet it won’t be there mid-January.

I have been extremely fortunate throughout my life, and so far my luck has held. I know that a small twist here or there, and things could be very different. A very good friend of mine has been out of work since February, and while he has so far managed to get by it is hugely stressful for him. Given that no one is hiring upper level managers right now, he is starting to get desperate. It's going to be at least 6 months before things can start to get back to normal, and even then employers are going to be hesitant - ensuring that this deep recession probably lasts several years. It's going to get a lot uglier before it gets better.

I count my blessings that so far none of my family has been stricken by Covid and they all still have a job.

Yes he was! Didn’t even think of that! You have a better memory than me ( but that’s hot hard)!

don't take it so personal. They complain about ford and/or the mach e here because it is the ford mach e forum. I got to think/hope that just because they make a negative comment about ford or the mach e they don't think it is worse then any world event or they have a worse life issue then other people.

Same here, and I'm from NJ. I can see why they changed the name "stampede"; some lawyer would sue Ford on behalf of a client who caused a fatal accident by saying Ford told them to drive crazy.
Yep, someone looked up the true definition of stampede and thought about the ice mustang memes of running people over...

Merry Christmas everyone!

Is there updated information on the Christmas production shutdown at the plant? I searched the forum and the shutdown speculation I found was posted in October.

My FE status as of Monday (12/21) was Trim Line and I am wondering if it is going to sit there until January.
Update: Received a Production Date of 12/24/2020 last night! Must have made it in right before the plant shut down.

Please don’t be so defensive!!!!!!! We ALL know Ford is having monumental problems with the launch of this car! My gripe is Ford’s communication with it’s customers! It’s abysmal and I’m truly PO’d at Ford and the situation in general!!! I want to thank you profoundly, however, as you and other Ford insiders are the only ones we can get information from about our cars. Hats off to you and Merry Christmas! :)

Actually, his comments are quite appropriate. The post he was responding to was quite snarky. There's far too little appreciation for the challenges facing the manufacturing sector, far too many who refuse to accept that things are genuinely different, and too many Tesla evangelicals around here for no reason that's constructive. And it's worse elsewhere. Personally, I think @trutolife27 was being nice.
