Folks, remember that you do have another way to look up your status to see if you have an install pending, successful, etc.

Use Chrome to view the JSON data on the owner.ford.com website:
  • Run Chrome, hit the dot menu at top right go to "More Tools" and then "Developer Tools" (or press (Ctrl+Shift+I)
  • At the top menu of the developer tools click on "Network"
  • In the Filter box type OTA
  • Go to owner.ford.com and log in, go to vehicle dashboard
  • on the list of links on the network tab in developer tools you should see some that say "status?country=us..." click on each, one of them will show some data (JSON)
  • Hit the triangles next to "fuseResponse", then "fuseResponseList", then "0"
  • In that list you'll see "latestStatus"
It was posted in https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/ota-update-status-hidden-in-the-ford-website.12367/

It should show if something is pending. If you have something pending and the car doesn't show "update now" go for a drive!

I got 2.4.2 on Tuesday. Here we are Friday and I haven’t budged. @generaltso @ChasingCoral @txaggies07 any of you had any luck? I thought I was finally on the escalator but this is a damn slow ride.
Same here! My aggregate status is "failure" but according to the ford pass app and the car it successfully installed. I never got the update successful notification though.

And what does it mean if there are no triangles next to ā€œfuseresponseā€ and it’s value is ā€œnull?ā€

Oh soothsayer, what doth the signs foretell?

latestStatus: {
"aggregateStatus": "success",
"detailedStatus": "OTAM_S1010",
"dateTimestamp": "2022-03-22T23:40:24.195+0000"
}

I did successfully update to 2.4.2 on March 22. I also plan to take an exciting journey... once I get BC. But is there any indication here as to why I haven't gotten squat since 2.4.2 five days ago?

Thanks for this. Confirms what I see in the widget and that my car hasn't gotten anything since Feb 20th and has nothing pending. :(

That would likely mean your car hasn't ever got an OTA update or it hasn't had an update in long enough that Ford's DB has cleared out.

My guess is that there's a problem with 2.4.2 that Ford is ironing out. Myself and a couple others have reported a failure for 2.4.2 even though it was successfully installed.

I got 2.4.2 on the 19th and then nothing till the 23rd and one update a day since then...perhaps there is a set delay in the first few updates or bug fix work?

Here are the critical parts:

The /languageText/Text: says which version of update is being addressed.

That was the speculation the last time (a few weeks ago). Just when I thought Ford had this down, some of us are stuck again.

When I got 2.4.2 this past Tuesday, I felt pretty confident I’d have BC before my road trip coming up April 1. That’s looking pretty unlikely now. Ford couldn’t even meet its latest Q1 2022 target for all of its ā€œEarly Accessā€ folks, let alone everyone else. Gah. At this point they need to eat the cost and let people get the update at the dealership. This is ridiculous.

I had updated everything available in FDRS last weekend but hadn't got the email from Ford so no BlueCruise. I got a message on Tuesday that 2.4.2 had failed but then 2.4.3 installed the same day. 2.4.4 came on Thursday, I just went for a drive today and 2.4.5 installed while I was out. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Received 2.4.2, 2.4.3, and 2.44 in a matter of days, but now waiting for 2.4.5 since Wednesday. Would love to understand the pacing here, if the early access VIP group was able to get all the way to 2.5.3, not sure what is slowing down the second wave.
