Folks, remember that you do have another way to look up your status to see if you have an install pending, successful, etc.
Use Chrome to view the JSON data on the owner.ford.com website:
It should show if something is pending. If you have something pending and the car doesn't show "update now" go for a drive!
Use Chrome to view the JSON data on the owner.ford.com website:
- Run Chrome, hit the dot menu at top right go to "More Tools" and then "Developer Tools" (or press (Ctrl+Shift+I)
- At the top menu of the developer tools click on "Network"
- In the Filter box type OTA
- Go to owner.ford.com and log in, go to vehicle dashboard
- on the list of links on the network tab in developer tools you should see some that say "status?country=us..." click on each, one of them will show some data (JSON)
- Hit the triangles next to "fuseResponse", then "fuseResponseList", then "0"
- In that list you'll see "latestStatus"
