Valet Mode Reference Card

I normally use PaaK, and this has led to a few occasions where a valet has been pretty confused by the Mach-E's valet mode. After a recent trip where the hotel valet couldn't figure it out, I made this card. It is designed to be printed on 3x5 index cards and then copies can be kept for an encounter with a valet.

PDF attached to this post and I am open to any suggestions - I will update this post with any crowd-sourced enhancements.

I can see how this could be helpful if you're out without your fob and end up needing valet unexpectedly. But in the case that you're dropping off your car for a scheduled appointment, why not just give them the fob?

Sure! I just updated the original post with a 8.5" x 11" PDF with four cards on it.

I usually do not take my key/fob with me and would prefer a fob-less solution

My solution is that I never, ever let a valet park my car. It's been over 30 years since a valet drove one of my cars. I always ask them to let me park myself and offer them the same tip.

I try to anticipate valet situations and bring the fob on those days (always simpler), but alas, it is the surprise valet that gets ya!

And yet the valet returned the car with no discernible wear or damage, I dare say he probably detailed it to remove any road dust and dirt. It was only the odometer that gave away any indication it had been driven.

I'd love to do this, but I read too many stories on the backup passcode not properly popping up. I can only imagine a valet trying to get my car and running back saying they couldn't get it to start haha

SO I have not used Valet mode in a while. Last time it just locked the screen... Has it been updated to reduce power etc? Kind of pointless to have Valet mode if they can race the car down the road... Has no one seen Ferris Buellers Day off??? I mean seriously... reduce my power...

Valets are often under extreme pressure to move quickly, and some of them lack English-language skills. Let's do them a favor and bring the fob whenever we anticipate asking a stranger to drive our vehicle.

Yep, agree that bringing the fob when it can be anticipated is the best choice. I made the card as a backup — the thought being that having instructions and even some images might be helpful if the fob is not with you when another person has to drive your vehicle.
