I feel a little stupid posting this, but am not turning up a whole lot in searching the forums.

When I accelerate mildly aggressively, I hear the propulsion noise but also feel a vibration in my seat. Or maybe it's just the sound and I'm imagining the actual vibration. In any case, I wonder if anyone else has perceived this, if it's real, if it's by design or an indicator of some issue, etc etc etc.

It happens on smooth roads where road noise isn't a problem. I drive a '21 Premium extended range.

Do you feel it when you turn the propulsion sound off?

As I posted this I thought...I should check it out with the sound off. I will report back! Roads in Indianapolis are terrible so it may be a minute til I'm back on a good smooth road with room to run.

In the meantime, if others have felt this I'd be happy to hear about it!

Is your car AWD or RWD? Can you “feel” the vector of the vibration? ??

It's RWD, and this evening I was on a road that allowed me to test these variables. I didn't feel it with the sound off but then turned it back on, even switched between driving modes, and didn't feel it again. so maybe it was my imagination?

I could not at any time detect the vector of the vibration. It honestly felt a little like I was in a Dolby Cinema theater.

Maybe. But maybe not.

Of all things, I noticed a vibration like you're describing as my OEM tires wore down. With the new tires, I haven't felt it at all. (Can't say I'm a fan of the new tires though - tread has worn down wayyy too quick. I think they're Continentals,)

Hi Chad! I can look into your Mach-E's concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Mach-E's VIN?

It's a phenomenon I call "Phantom Ice".
Your butt rattles in absense of engine rumble.

Completeley untrue, BUT if it becomes a thing, it's mine.

My car has ALWAYS had some form of vibration. I can modulate it. Dealer says 'I see no problem'. It'll vary by tire pressure, weather I'm on or off the go pedal, and when and for how long, flat spots in tires, balance of the wheel, temperature of the streets, everything. ONCE, one drive I didn't have any. I couldn't get a star map of that time to see if they'd aligned. I either have a rear motor 'thing', axel thing, rotor thing, wheel thing, or tire thing. So far I've replaced a lot of pieces and it's still there. very slight now, but it's there and I know it is.

What the OP might be sensing is some roads have just the right amount of roughness that all 4 tires can hum, which feels like the an ICE engine. I have 2 spots where I can create this perfectly. Between my cars my Lexus is almost unnoticable, My Focus EV sounds like the motor is going to go out and my MME feels like a jet taxi'ing.

My 2021 (Job 2) SR RWD had vibrations since I picked it up brand new.
It has vibrations and a a thumping sound when regenerating and also when accelerating.
Especially when accelerating hard it gets more noticeable and when accelerating hard in corner it is very very noticeable.

I had it checked last year at my local Ford dealership. They did some checks on all the parts that connect the wheels to the chassis, but couldn't find anything out of order.
I'm pretty sure Ford knows what the issue is, but that they don't want to replace any parts to fix it.
