Unfortunately w/ EV's the whole brake thing will come back again in winter. It finally feels like the entire experience matches my expectations. You have no idea how thankful I am.
Problem is when driving on the highway, it is not recommended to use one pedal drive rapid degredation of rotors. So you constantly have to switch back and forth when going from the highway to local roads. I wish they had a quick button to switch between one pedal drive and regular modeI’ve never had a problem with the braking, but that’s because I use 1PD. Because it’s an EV. Try 1PD for a week. You’ll grow to love it.
You resurrected a thread that's almost 3 years old. But anyway, the car has blended braking, so it's using regenerative braking even if you use the brake pedal. If you want to clean the rotors, shift to Neutral before barking every once in a while.Problem is when driving on the highway, it is not recommended to use one pedal drive rapid degredation of rotors. Where are you getting that from?Problem is when driving on the highway, it is not recommended to use one pedal drive rapid degredation of rotors. Subject is still relevant for me though... only had my mach e for 1 year. Thought I would give my brake pads time to wear down some more to reduce the sharp braking affect... but thanks for that suggestion I'll give that a try!You resurrected a thread that's almost 3 years old. A technician from All American Ford in New Jersey advised this to a friend of mine who had his rotor cut twice within a short period of time..this may not be fully true as to the reason why his rotors degraded so fast as I could not find any other source that supported this claim so just disregard what I said.Where are you getting that from?

It’s software tuning, different brake lines won’t help. You might have outdated ABS software, the brake modulation on the latest versions is much better. It’s blended braking so it’s never going to match pure hydraulic feel and response, but it’s mostly acceptable to me.Does anyone have a GT Performance that can comment on this? I just picked up a 2023 GT w/o the performance package and this is definitely the something I’m struggling with too. I’ve yet to have an opportunity to really get the pads up to temp yet. Has anyone tried braided stainless steel brake lines? Any improvement?
I drive in whisper mode and One pedal most of the time and I hardly ever touched the brake pedal but when I do, it’s gonna stop abruptly that’s some big pistons. Just like driving one of the newer ice mustangs with the heavy duty clutch lotta people don’t like how aggressive it feels. Will do. I've definitely been driving in Engaged mode for 99% of the time I've owned this vehicle.
who doesn't recommend 1-p ?Problem is when driving on the highway, it is not recommended to use one pedal drive rapid degredation of rotors.
