Minnesota has an $75 electric surcharge. Minnesota's gas tax is $0.285 per gallon. So the $75 surcharge covers 263.16 gallons of gas.

$75 goes towards EV infrastructure in the state, called ZEVIP (they just announced $30M in grants in October), which is separate from and in addition to NEVI.

Toss in Regional Transit Authority fees plus Seattle transit fees and it’s pushing $1000 per year to register my MME.

Yes there is a surcharge for “Highway tax recover” plus an idiot fee for expanding level 2 charging stations along the highways. $75

Interesting I’ve only heard one 1 set of level 2 charging stations at the rest area just north of Vancouver WA on the 5. Are there others??

Level 2s would be OK in isolated areas of the state, but only if you would ensure it would be available via a reservation.

Only if you live in Seattle or the RTA counties.
