We have full-screen Android Auto! Which update initiated this?

After reading these posts, I checked our 2022 MME and we too have a new full screen. Now if our FordPass would only work. The car is fantastic, on a full charge, 277 miles.

I picked up my MME from the dealer a few days ago after they applied a few pending updates.

When I started the car to leave the parking lot Android Auto was fullscreen displaying google maps.

Unfortunately when I pressed the button to go out of fullscreen mode and then pressed the button again to enter fullscreen mode I could not get fullscreen to work.

Since then it has not worked for me... Pretty strange behavior...

You have the slightly newer climate controls at the bottom, too.

If you tap AUTO several times, does it cycle 4 states (off-1-2-3) or just 3 states (1-2-3)?

Also, can you take a photo of the page that opens when you tap this? I'm curious to know if anything's changed from what the majority of us still see.

Thanks for taking the time to do the tests and get the photos and post.

So it's basically the same as before, just the AC button that I never use is moved to a more prominent location.

I was hoping Ford would add some user/profile preferences so I could promote system on/off and recirc on/off to the quick access area.

Maybe we'll see more improvements in the future.

Basically when you shrink the horizontal menu buttons below the Android Auto from big to small the extra space is just black instead of Android Auto expanding to fill it.

2022's are coming with this from the factory now. Other 2022's that don't have it will be getting it any time now.

2021 Job1 and job2 will get this in the next month or two. I think there are some in-between updates we are still needing to get before we get to this version.

OTA or do I have to schedule an appointment at the dealership? Please say the former.

Nada. I still have that stupid big black dead space on my screen. My FordPass app doesn't look any different. I left a two star review in the Play Store for the FordPass app even though I don't think it is that bad. Only way to get the developer's attention.

Shit, I did the same by accident (leaving the full screen) and have lost since then the full screen as well. It does not come back anymore

Paraphrasing from the 3.2.1 update thread but I got full screen Android Auto immediately after installing 3.2.1.

Odd that it wasn't announced as part of the release notes; they buried the headline.

So sometime in mid-August it went back to being full-screen and has stayed like that since then.
