Hey everyone. I guess with how much we drive the car, being in service 7 days a week all over the place, it was bound to happen.

Sadly we didn’t PPF the doors… didn’t seem necessary (ha ha haaaa)

Someone, unknown when or where, opened their car door into the mango rear passenger door and chipped it. There’s also a very small ding.

Is it worth trying to get the ding “pulled” out, is that even a thing? I’ve never owned a car I wanted to do that on, but I love the cyber orange so much I want it to be perfect as possible. I ordered the motor craft two stage CO touch up so definitely doing that. But has anyone had a ding repaired and if so was it worth the time and trouble?

There used to be specialists around who could massage our the dimple and blend in a spot of paint. You might ask around locally.

PDR will get the dent out fine. The chip at that point will be somewhat easy to resolve to the point you won't see it from 5 feet away (most of the time).

Paintless Dent Repair. When it works (which is almost always), it’s like magic. Useful for small dents.

I had PDR done for two dents we got from valeting the Mach-E at a hotel in Philadelphia. Tech was able to pull both dents from the upper body line on the rear passenger-side door.

I was told it wasn’t a difficult job. I paid $200 for both dents.

Ok so the "fixer" who did a great job for me (recommended by Dynamic Detailing guys that @MyLittlePony2022 and I like) is Brad at (408) 210-6922.

I had another PDR guy who handled a door dent when I hit my door with my soap container from my pressure washer, but he was not as good.

Brad helped my when I dented my fender from my charge port door recently. He was really good and fast.

I'm sure he can advise on the paint aspect of your issue as well.

This charge port fender dent...did that happen when your charge door got bent back?

I caught mine on my garage - no damage to the charge port door but I later noticed a little doink forward of the hinge.

I've been wondering if PDR would actually fix that - and a similar-looking door ding.

Thanks!

I had a couple of door dings repaired by "Dent Doctor", and the results were amazing. The technician pulled out a bag of weird tools, with various 2 ft long spatulas, with various metal shapes on the ends. He slid the spatulas down the outside of the side window glass, into the door. He then stroked the dent with the spatulas, while also applying suction to the outer skin of the door. It took about an hour of gentle manipulation, but at the end, the dents were gone.

Yes PDR fixes it very easily. You can get access from the inside fender.

This was the one time I didn't put this in before plugging in to charge in the garage.... (It's a little piece of furniture edge cushioning I stick in there)
